Every crystal ball pick is completely worthless except for the 247 team reporters of the teams involved the most in a kid's recruitment.
Not always true. Some of the regional guys have broken impending commitments before actual team-site guys. Kipp Adams, who is very invested in the state of Georgia, is an example. There have been a few times when he has broken stories about guys on the verge of committing to Auburn even before Neibuhr/Hoke.

He's DL/OL for me.
Same here, and which one (OT/DE) he plays for us will depend on how much more he grows.

We certainly don't have 3-4 already committed.
Didn't mean to imply that we did but, if Rice ends up on the DL like some here are advocating, we have 2 almost a year from signing day. If somebody like Bro Hamm were to commit that would be 3 with our three biggest fish still out there.

Coaching staffs take that into account, obviously. Rochester and Davidson will have spots, period.

When has a five star ever been scared off by a three star?
Posted on 2/10/15 at 1:20 pm to RandySavage
Are we still in it at all for Keion Joyner or is he all LSU?
What about Xavier Gaines? Is he a take or a backup plan if we miss out on Pass or another higher rated QB?

quote:No. We are looking at Bro-Hamm more as an OT than DL. If he were to commit that would still be 1 DL on the staff's current projections.

Stop worrying so mch.

Gaines isn't a take at this point. To be honest, I don't really think we've decided who our top QB target is yet. One of FSU's insiders CB'd Gaines to us today.

So what is our QB hierarchy at this point?
Posted on 2/10/15 at 1:41 pm to RandySavage
Unknown. QB hierarchy doesn't usually get settled until summer.
Shea Patterson is up there but he's unlikely.

Randy won't like this. Per BMatt Holyfield is now the top target at RB.
Posted on 2/10/15 at 2:56 pm to ellitor
Not sure I like it
I'll have to do some more research on him.
ETA: Though, when I first watch some of his film, he did remind me a lot of Brad Lester. Very quick feet.

Holyfield really stood out at the Rising Seniors event. North/South runner, great feet, really strong, and he can catch as well. He's legit. Nothing wrong with him being our top target. Lots of top-end schools are after him big time.

not saying he isn't legit, just seems early for us to pin him as our top back in this whole class
