I don't think you realize how the Elite 11 works & looks like your math is off. The top 30 QBs were at the semis this past weekend. The top 15 go to the finals next month. Woody could miss everyone's top 11 and make the finals. Your premise is Woody was one of the worst QBs there because he did not make any top 11 list. That is technically not necessarily the case. He could be 12 out of 30 QBs. That is no where near close to being one of the worst of the group. As kage pointed out Barton Simmons had Woody on the fringe of making the finals. That's midpack in his eyes and likely 14-17 area.

A bit concerning.

Given this was his 1st year @ QB not a concern yet IMO. Plus his mechanics aren't bad.

If you ain't first you're last.

Hell, I was high when I said that. That doesn't make any sense at all. You can be second or third or fourth or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

This. I'm sure some coaches would rather have that kind of QB. He ought to be a clean slate as far as teaching goes. No bad habits or coaching to unlearn.

All of the staff has territories in Georgia but Garner did lose Rochester & Quinnen. Interesting tidbit from AUC that T-Rob has taken over Marlon Davidson's recruitment.

Nice to see our best defensive recruiter on him I guess, but it does make one wonder what the hell Garner is doing that's a net positive at this point.

Drawing a check? I still wish he had been moved to TE coach and let Muschamp hire his DL coach from Florida.

This was what I was hoping to see happen as well. Though to be fair that coach has a lot of off the field baggage. And Fountain seems to be recruiting well himself.

Garner will be at Auburn until he is vested in the Alabama retirement system.

D Line playing well this season would be a net positive if it happens.

Reports were Boom wanted to keep him. It's debatable that moving Garner was nonnegotiable but those were the reports.

Yet he's starting ahead of an Elite 11 MVP.
