He could be 12 out of 30 QBs. That is no where near close to being one of the worst of the group. As kage pointed out Barton Simmons had Woody on the fringe of making the finals. That's midpack in his eyes and likely 14-17 area.
He wasn't in Barton Simmons or any other rivals writer's top 11 performers. Spin that however you want to make it seem better

This. I'm sure some coaches would rather have that kind of QB. He ought to be a clean slate as far as teaching goes. No bad habits or coaching to unlearn.

This was what I was hoping to see happen as well. Though to be fair that coach has a lot of off the field baggage. And Fountain seems to be recruiting well himself.
