Yeah and I gotta realize I'm a polarizing poster given my antics often times. People will like me or not. There likely isn't an in between, even on here. Sorry for the OP guys. My shite like that's got to be getting old.
No worries. I mainly lurk the recruiting board because I know nothing about it. I greatly appreciate the thread and lie to read the updates first then go to the last post. But yeah, Rocky is probably right, I am sure lots of other team's posters like to downvote on other boards.

I'll be pissed if we don't take Davis Jr. Remember what happened the last time we passed on a legacy son of a perennial pro bowler? You should because he got drafted into the NFL as a top ten pick a week ago.
We're constantly passing on easy targets (legacies, local kids) just because theyre a tweener that doesn't immediatley fit our exact scheme or they're raw and need a little coaching. It burns us in the arse every time! How many times do we have to watch a kid that wanted to play for Auburn that we passed on go onto to tear it up at another school before we learn? Those are the types of kids that Tubs thrived on and now we are letting other teams benefit because they aren't ranked high enough.

I think its a bit funny that we're arguing that Davis Jr. "may not fit Muschamp's scheme" when Muschamp isn't even guaranteed to be here past ~2 years. shite, he's not even guaranteed to be here past one season if we go out and dominate this upcoming season.

We are wondering how he fits Muschamp's scheme because he's our defensive coordinator and he decides who he wants to recruit for his defense.

We never seem to completely fill a class and due to SDjr's versatility, I don't see why he shouldn't be taken as a plug player at worst.
He seems to be a top tier athlete so I just find it hard that there isn't a place for him.

Davis Jr. Got an invite to the opening we should be able to tell a little more about him after that.

I'm willing to bet that fact is used to recruit against us when we are after elite defensive players too. And there really isn't anything we can do about it.

No, but Malzahn should recruit him as he is the head coach and has ultimate say with regards to who receives an offer.
Sorry, but I'm not in the business of kicking away a highly athletic legacy recruit with a great frame and outstanding bloodlines because he may or may not fit the scheme of a DC who is here because he sees it as a stepping stone job before he ultimately takes the next decent HC job that comes his way.
You follow recruiting long? By the end of this cycle we're going to be struggling to fill our class with kids we really want. Come back to me when we're handing a scholarship to a scrub like Jonathan Wallace or Markell Benton to sit on the bench for 5 years. I'd much rather take the chance on a better prospect like Davis Jr. somehow finding a role whether the DC be Muschamp, or someone else.

Nobody was even arguing until the AU board's AL Sharpton popped up. Gotta see who he can lure into a circle jerk with him. All the cool Sci-fi board kids must be predisposed...

Gus supposedly promised Muschamp complete control of defense so technically Muschamp can dp whatever the eff he wants with D recruiting. So unless Gus wants to use up an offensive spot on him Gus is just going to have to watch unless he wants to affect the working relationship
That said, watch us regret this and try and jump back in with him late and lose. We initially slow played rashaan Evans and even last year with GG Robinson only to lose late

Muschamp told Antonneous Clayton he's our #1 DE target. Clayton is the 3* cousin of Monty as we discussed several pages ago.

So is this considered a Legacy recruit?
