I didn't see these nuggets posted yet.

-things are going well with Irvin
-Lawson has made a strong impression on Beckner
-would not be a shock if Irvin is a Tiger by the end of the weekend

Hoke avoiding his 70% curse. He put 70% on 3 or 4 guys AU did not get. The most notable is Rashaan Evans.

Adding an early enrollee is pretty awesome

This would be crazy if we landed Beckner

Just wanted to clarify something I don't think the recruiting reporters never knew. I am almost positive the recruits did not leave the game. There was a very nice food and drink spread set up for them in the practice gym in the Arena and that's where they went when they got up from their seats at halftime. I'm sure they had the option of chilling in the practice gym and bond more or come out and watch the game. Heck, there may even be a tv in the practice gym where they could watch the rest of the game. It would not surprise me. There are TVs everywhere else in that place.

trying to not get too excited yet, but i just had a feeling we were gonna be the bridesmaid with a lot of the big names this year, now that feeling is exactly the opposite. This could be a memorable NSD. Just a lot of momentum seems to be going our way.

I "shook" Javarius' hand, several times, so I think that will help.

On a side note......I spent most of my time with Jonathan. I feel pretty good about him being an Auburn Tiger.

Per Ryan Bartow...

quote:

Hearing Tim Irvin is close to flipping publicly to Auburn. Will keep you posted if and when that goes down. That's been the expectation since his decision to officially visit Auburn earlier this week as we reported and as Keith and I flipped our Crystal Ball predictions. It's heating up this morning very much so.

SUNDAY RECRUITING NEWS & NOTES

7:38 a.m.: Multiple people now have said Auburn has really impressed 5-star ends Byron Cowart and CeCe Jefferson.

7:26 a.m.: Am told the fathers of Montavious Atkinson and Jordan Colbert spent a good bit of time together this weekend. Probably a good thing for Auburn. Sounds as if Atkinson is solid. To me, he's one of the most undervalued recruits on the Auburn commit list.

7:22 a.m.: The word is, new Auburn secondary coach Travaris Robinson gave an impassioned speech to the prospects Saturday night at Jordan-Hare Stadium about what it means to be an Auburn Man.

7:19 a.m.: I believe Nate Craig-Myers, the 5-star receiver commit from Tampa, will be heading home around 11 a.m. or so. He has a long drive back, so they need to get going before lunch it sounds like.

KN will be updating this OP throughout the day.

Wish I could hear that. I love me some T-Rob. I'm as excited he's back in Auburn as I am about Muschamp.

I hope Auburn made a big impression on all of them.

From reading that thread, it seems Trent Thompson, UGA commit, was not having a good time. (pure speculation by a random poster)

As long as he doesn't try to be a buzz kill, I don't care. He isn't there because he's interested in playing for Auburn anyways.

Normally DCraig gives a speech about what the AU means to him at the 50 yard line. Nice to see an addition to that since most of the recruits have heard that

TT has been ostracized by some of our guys it appears. He has been seen by himself (w/ Mom) off to the side.

I'm pretty sure we have kept him apart from Godwin all weekend. Hope he tucks tail and whimpers all the way back to Al-binny.

Per KN...

quote:

8:52 a.m.: Five-star DL Terry Beckner will be among the first to depart today. Hearing he will meet with Gus Malzahn in just a few minutes. Supposedly, it went fairly well, and Car Lawson was his player-host. We'll see if Auburn made up any ground on Missouri, FSU and Ohio State.

Cowart's instagram page

ETA..........

quote:

9:02: Apparently, Cowart spent a lot of time asking commits and parents of commits about Auburn. As we've said before, he took this trip pretty seriously. Supposedly he really likes the environment at AU. Still has Florida and FSU visits coming up.

ETA to the ETA Spiggly beat me to it.
