NCAA is changing eligibility requirements and changing core classes things I believe. Guys like Chidi and Prince will have an easier time qualifying this year than next year

From what I read the NCAA changes are supposed to make things a bit tougher. My guess is Chidi and Prince got way ahead in their native land.

Bunker insider autigers07 on Westry and D recruiting this class

-Writing on the wall w/ Westry
-D recruiting was a joke when CBoom got here
-Boom had to change the entire D board because we didn't have much there

I can't believe a 4 star would willingly take a gray shirt at Alabama. Like wtf man

Don't care how raw he is! That kid got some wheels to be 6'8". Not to mention his ridiculous wingspan!

I legitimately don't understand how Bama convinces potentially great players to take grey shirts/line up behind a ridiculously saturated group of 4 and 5 stars. shite, look at a NFL team roster - players are from all over the board, not just your perennial programs.

It's a business decision

Those kind of numbers on a check with Bama players names on them can't be dismissed to easily. It was a very good marketing plan for recruiting.

I hate them

Didn't realize he went to such a small crappy school, in that case I guess it makes sense.

The thing is almost all those guys were 5 star players coming out of high school. It's not like bama is some super development program. The talent makes bama not the other way around. The amazing thing is saban convinces so many kids otherwise.

That really was my point. I never said they were great at development but they have become a big pipeline to the NFL. Hence why I said marketing tool was used to their advantage.

I hate that for Westry or any kid really. Maybe this will put a chip on his shoulder and he'll work even harder to get better.
