Don't think it's been decided. I heard something about his HS B-ball teams game may interfere (can't remember if I heard that here or elsewhere).

Kerryon Johnson

FSU lean right now. He's our #1 RB target. I think both FSU and Bama are recruiting him at the same position.

Pruitt was his main recruiter at FSU and some seem to think we're trending a little right now. Crystal Ball predictions mean very little at this point in the process. They're more pure guesses than they are later in the year.
All of this plus most if not all of his fam went to FSU so it will be a tough pull for us in the end IMO.

This is correct. Will not be decided til Thursday at the earliest. MA plays Colbert County in the sweet 16 that night. If they win they play in the 3A elite 8 at 2 on Saturday and would mean KJ can't come to Junior Day.

Well supposedly he's hurt and won't play either way. But he might still want to be at the game to support his team. So he still could come if he wanted.

I do find it interesting that Noles reporter Chris Nee CB'd KJ to Auburn.

Bama doesn't have the traditional in state pull factor that they normally do for 9/10 players. Neither does AU for that matter. KJ is very insulated from that and has family ties to FSU as E said. He told people FSU was his top school during visits

How FSU decides to recruit him will make it all interesting

He's from the Huntsville area which is probably the most evenly split part of the state. So there's no real pressure to go one way or the other.

I was talking about how he doesn't seem to put any importance on staying in state. Just seems like a non issue

That is funny you say that because it always did. I don't do that here too much however. I read the update but I also looked him up and watched his film, just botched the name.

Kid is good either way!

We just offered composite 4* Safety Rashad Roundtree. He is a 5* on Rivals. He is the #1 Safety and #17 overall prospect on Rivals.

4* Bama DT commit Johnathan Ledbetter did not visit AU yesterday as AUC thought he might. Hoke says he may come to Junior Day and with Coach Craig recruiting him the battle is likely far from over.

AU offered borderline 3/4* TE Chris Clark from Connecticut on Monday. He 27 Playoff Conference offers. Junior Highlights Quotes per AUR LINK
quote:

He (Coach Fountain) told me that they have watched a lot of tight end films over the last couple of weeks with the offensive coordinator and they fell in love with mine. They think I'm a player that can fit in great with their offense. They are really excited about me.

Especially after they played for the national championship this year I think Auburn is going to continue to get better year after year. They are going to stay at the top of college football. That offense is sick. I'mr really excited about the offer. It's a school I've been watching all of my life.

I will be visiting Ohio State, Michigan, Tennessee, Miami, North Carolina and Maryland in March. Now, I am trying to figure out when to get down to Auburn. That's a big priority right now.

Quotes and notes on 4 * OG Javon Patterson LINK
quote:

Coach Gus Malzahn has turned the program around and they are building a great and winning program. The way the players fought, that stood out to me during my visits. They fought hard and then of course the amazing win over 'Bama. The coaches are always hyped up and it's a great program to be around. "I'm feeling the love from Auburn.

I don't have pressure (to stay in state in Mississippi), I'll go to Oregon if that's where I want to go," Patterson said. "I have to make the best decision for me over the next four years.

Coach Grimes, ever since he offered we have an awesome relationship. He's an awesome guy and he does a great job with their line," Patterson said. "I've talked to him some about Auburn wanting a big offensive line class. "We all have great relationships with Malzahn, Grimes and Coach (Rhett) Lashlee," Patterson said. "Auburn will be their until the end, that's for sure.

-may come to Junior Day
-pending on if his high school wins its playoff basketball game on Wednesday
-Plans to commit in November.

Am I the only one who isn't wow'd by Johnson? Don't get me wrong, he is a great player, but I don't get most of the hype. Nothing jumps off the film when I watch his highlights.

my impresion is that johnson is more athlete than football player... that's not to say he won't be a standout at the college level, though.

Dammit why ? They have the pick of the litter when it comes to hs running backs no need to go JUCO. I said he was as good as any rb in the class before he even committed to us, I don't wanna see him in a bama uniform
