Blocking backs gonna blocking back.

Mario Fannin was about his size and ran a 4.38 forty. I would put McGriff on D if he really is that fast at that size.

Tackle or end?

Wasn't the pro scouts criticism of Dee his size? Maybe I got it wrong.

Kerryon Johnson didn't sign with Bama so he got bumped down to a 4* today
He was a composite 4* when he committed to AU. The next day he got a 3 spot bump by ESPN to make him a composite 5*. He got a 3 spot drop today by 247 which makes him a 4* again. Has nothing to do with him not committing to Bama.

However, as Thomas himself recently pointed out, it was almost a problem that Auburn didn’t have because when the recruiting process was coming down to the wire, he was full ready to commit to the rival Alabama Crimson Tide, the team that he grew up idolizing.

He was ready, that is, until Nick Saban and the coaching staff told him to hold up, something Thomas wouldn’t have any of.

“I was like, ‘Well, no I’m not going to hold on. If y’all want my commitment, then y’all will let me commit right now,’” Thomas told ESPN.com.

Thomas then went on to say that the decision may have surprised most that knew him, but he ultimately made the decision that was best for him in the end.
This happened last Summer and not close to NSD as the blurb implies. Roc met with Saban. The above happened the Roc committed to AU later that day or the next day.

One of these guys need to be moved to center.

Marquell Harrell
Bailey Sharp
Kaleb Kim
Unlikely. Staff likes Sharp at OT, Kim and Harrell at Guard. They are still looking to get a Center and 2 more OTs.

Mario Fannin was 225+ pounds. He weighed in at 231 at the Combine.

i know we're swinging for the fences on some OTs, but anyone know who our 2nd group of guys at tackle are?... we're going to need to sign one or two.
The order I sew last reported was 1 Ivey 2 Richmond and 3 Sharp and no more after that in order. Since the staff wants 2 more if we miss on Ivey and Richmond then more names will pop up through the eval period the next 3 months.

Anyone have info on DLine targets? Looks like we need a few true DTs soon correct?
Jauntavius Johnson is the only known take besides the big 3. More name will pop up the next 2 months of eval period. Staff plans to take 2.

Austin Penny over at 247 just put this up on the front page:

The nation's No. 10 overall prospect & Texas A&M commit Daylon Mack(5*DT) talks interest in Auburn.

any of you guys in the know about this?
Something to keep an eye on if TAMU tanks this season

According to Mack, having a successful program is going to be the most important factor for him.

"Direction of the program and winning seasons," Mack said. "A team that can get out there and really win and just have dominant defenses. Mainly winning, that's something that drew me to Auburn."

I've figured that McGriff would probably be a Rb instead of a D lineman.

What was Bo's 40, any idea?
We are recruiting DM as an ATH to play WR, TE, and/or H-Back. Nothing on D

Bo ran a 4.12/40 at his NFL combine. Fastest combine time ever.

The other factor with Mack, and the reason for the recent Texas and now AU (again) articles;
All the recent arrests in College Station have parents of recruits asking questions. Mack's Mom is believed to be one IIRC.

(Sorry if germans)

AU visited the HS of 2017 ATH Richard LeCounte. Plays at the same school as Raekwon. You will be hearing a lot about him. I know it's 2017 but this kid...

Mack reached out to Auburn and plans to visit this weekend.

“They’re the SEC champs. They have a great D-line history. Coming off the season they just had, the direction of the program they have is fantastic,” Mack told Scout.com. “It being my birthday weekend, it seemed like a good time to go down and visit.”

I was being sarcastic. KJ got a reverse bama bump for not choosing them

aTm fans are a bit worried after him "shutting it down", now taking visits...plus the MO is flowing. Thompson still my #1 DT, but IMO Mack is every bit as good as Payne. May be a better athlete.

I would not say it's necessarily a clear top 2. He likes TAMU, AU, Texas, LSU, and Rebs now. But year, of those we have the best chance of winning big.
