Auburn should also be recruiting him for whatever position he wants to play in college. It's easy to let him start off there, and then switch him over if it isn't in the cards.

Bama pays more.
Our bagmen are gonna have to step up. Course we are at a bit of a disadvantage with Bama paying high schools in state as well.
Not really kidding there as I have actually knowledge of that happening, but is what it is.
(no hijack of thread intended, just an aside of a reality with instate recruits though we still get our share)

Per Kipp Adams, 5* DT Daylon Mack (TAMU commit) will take visits after all. 2 OVs will be Ole Miss and LSU. I tweeted Kipp asking where AU is with Mack and if AU could get 1 of those OVs. Still waiting on a reply.

I know it was vague, but he still hinted at a big name coming, and even said it was a 5 star caliber guy. I'm OK with him keeping the name unsaid up until now.

Sorry about the triple post. In regards to Carr, this is a drama that is played out each year. Bama selling BS to a kid, promising a particular position that is not the best fit. But it keeps them from coming to AU. So many names, yet every year we watch it happen. Carr will not play OT in the SEC.

Don't know about LSU's roster, but I believe he would start for us as a true freshmen

Per Hoke, Payne did not show for practice today. Also 4* ATH Ray Ray McCloud is expected in AU on Monday.
