I followed this years recruiting class at a distance. It's probably why Evans to bama didn't rustle my jimmies, and why I was excited about our guys. I only read E's post on here; didn't look at rival, 247, etc.

the competition for the state of GA prospects is probably at an all time high right now... with pruitt and rocker at UGA, Smart/Saban at bama, and Clemson/FSU/USCe all having good seasons and close by, it's going to be a dog fight for recruits. Not to mention out of region programs like Ohio St and Stanford making runs at high profile guys recently.

I have no doubts garner and co. can hold their own in GA... but it's gonna get nasty.

Exactly the reason we need Richt to stay for another 10 years.

Clemson definitly pulls a couple every year but they aren't a true threat. Most of their commits are flippable and they don't get many to begin with. South Carolina poses next to no threat in Georgia for recruits we actually want.

Pruitt and Rocker will be interesting mostly because if UGA does bad, no amount of recruiting may help them with hotseat talks swirling. Also, I doubt Rocker hits the road hard for a long duration.

We need Ellis Johnson to put in more of an effort. He essentially is absent during the process

Not sure Ellis is about to change in that regard. Wonder what the plan is long term at DC? How many more years will Ellis coach?

Ellis has a hot (ish) young wife and young kids. He got to keep working to pay for college man

I like Ellis and think he is a great DC. Don't want to trade him/like his system (maybe Lorenzo Ward?) when we are done

He barely makes courtesy visits when recruits are on campus. I mean he is a LB coach

I just see his offense recruiting nationally while the defense stays local. I wouldn't mind dipping into Texas and Virginia too

I mean I'm sure I'll follow along but not nearly as much time invested as I had in this previous class.

It's like crack. You might not like it anymore, and you might go a while without it, but you'll come back to it just like everyone else.

With what Garner does with DLs I would no be surprised if we get a national guy thedre if needed.

Another solid season on the field, I could see our staff going more national. Winning breeds that. We play in the best conference in the nation. Look at where another certain school was not long ago.
