I just meant in my previous post that to win the 9-10 games he shouldn't be our starter
We are a 3 and 9 fricking team. Who the frick do you suggest starting to win "9 or 10" games?

I agree. Which is why I don't understand why people are so excited for him. I'm not excited to win 6-7 games. But he's an improvement and I'll take him

If Trickett plays to an acceptable level we definitely should win 8 in the regular season.
THere is no reason we should lose our OOC or to Arky, Ole Miss, MS St or Tennessee
Bowl win gets us 9. Very realistic if we have a QB worht a shite

At Arky will be tough and we could very easily lose one of those normally fairly winnable conference games at home. Counting the Bowl game I project us going 9-4 with Marshall. That drops a couple of games with Frazier or J-Wall.

Yeah, saw this on rivals. His only offers are App St, Old Dominion, and LA Lafayette. Nothing against the kid, but our defense is going to continue to suck if this is the skill level of players we are going for.

Whitaker, Carter, Sanders, and all those kids had offers from big time schools and haven't done anything. Auburn has done well in the past with under the radar defensive players. Hell our best player on defense this year is probably Chris Davis who didn't have many offers at all.

Agreed. I am hoping this new coaching staff was going to rely on their experience and knowledge in pulling diamonds in the rough kids. Ones where we may scratch our heads, but become big fans of the kid as his career at AU unfolds.

First off, look at Chance Warmack who had only 4 or so offers out of HS none from BCS schools other than Bama. Also, look at the number of midmajor players and lightly recruited players drafted in the first round.
#1- Eric Fisher- 2 star no significant offers
#5- Ziggy Anshah- Didn't even come to college to play sports
#10- Chance Warmack- Only 4 offers total out of HS
#12- Dj Hayden - 3 star with few offers
#19- Justin Pugh- 2 Star OL rivals lists with only SYracuse offer
#31- Travis Frederick- Only 1 BCS offer in Wisconsin. Navy and Air Force only two other FBS offers
So clearly, you can find significant talent that don't have offers coming out of HS.
Concerning why a junior doesn't have offers. A number of players who have not done the camp circuit the summer before their junior year do not get offers because coaches do not get a chance to see them work out. Allt hey have to go off of is game tape which can be very deceiving. Most coaching staffs make conditional offers on players coming to camps during the summer and working out for them. The quarterback Cornwall right now doesn't have an offer from Bama till he comes and throws for them this summer for instance
Finally, a number of kids do not hit their growth spurt until late. David Robinson from the San Antionio Spurs entered the naval academy at 6'7 and ended up 7ft +. Point being, between their JR football season and Sr football season, guys will grow 2-5 inches and put on 20-30 pounds of muscle by just growing. That is why you have players who didn't see the field their JR year turn into top 100 prospects

Also thinks josh holsey has a bright future if we can nail him down a position.

Look, I am not saying we should start recruiting only 2 & 3 stars, just sick of hearing about how a guy in fricking April of his JR year doesn't have offers yet.

He has an offer from a legit school...Auburn.

Also, our defenses have sucked even with highly rated talent
Jamar Travis, Ladarius Owens, Jake Holland, Craig Sanders, Joel Bonomolo, Erique Florence, Jonathan Rose and many more all have sucked major dick while at Auburn (and being processed in some cases)
