Khari Harding and Mackenro are the freshman going to see time

Brandon King and Garrett will compete to start at that position this fall

True. I was thinking we were moving him to guard. Didn't think of center.

Javierre Mitchell seems like the perfect size for Spur. Anyone know if he's coming along at all since redshirting last year?

Haven't heard anything. Spring should be interesting to see who the coaches talk about. He has the perfect size for the position.

Maybe it won't be like the old staff where if they talk about a player doing well, we never see them again.

I played basketball with him at the rec last semester and he definitely is way bigger than he was when he stepped on campus. His limitation in the last scheme was his frame which won't hold more than 220 and keep speed.

Problem with spur is that he was a DLineman coming out of high school and has never played significant coverage. Coupled with our lack of teaching of coverages to our LBs, it is hard to see him picking up coverage skills quickly.

Justin Garrett for those who will compare the two, played safety in high school and also begged Thigpen to move to safety last spring/summer

I like that in the Q&A with Jonathan Ford's coach, he stresses how good of a student academically he has been as well as in his behavior. Finally some kid we won't have to worry about getting arrested

Gus never seemed to have senioritis when it came to skill players. Hopefully that translates over to the D.

Very true. Though, it does seem like Malzahn is all about letting the best guy play for the most part. Hopefully that is true.

Thougt this was interesting. In Brian Matthews Jr Day Notebook II, there's a segment about 2015 OL, Tyler Carr, who visited. He said the visit was very professional and a lot different between this staff and the first one he met, which I'm assuming is the last staff.

He did not look like a natural runner and I hate watching film of the triple option. It is like watching a pop warner game

Eh, I disagree. I think, at times, he runs very similar to Ronnie.

I don't look at his strides and think (that kid can run) as well as his initial acceleration/burst is not impressive. Which, as you pointed out could be due to him overthinking the lanes

Let Georgia Tech take him, I don't care. I would rather have other backs on our list

Agree.

The last option QB we stole as an RB from Tech looked like crap at AU.

Kid good be good, but shouldn't be at the top of our board. IMO
