not buying all the hype of Qb recruits till they produce. I will be happy with whoever we get. We got burned on Kodi Burns, Rollison, Frazier, Caudle, etc.

I think he is going to be a tough one to crack despite his friendship with Ruffin.
Maybe he is not #1 on our board. He didn't receive the same type of love the Nick Ruffin got during BCW. Which may have been a result of Nick being such a high priority though
Wasn't quite sure what the end game was but during BCW there was a difference between attention Nick got and Cortez got. Maybe just an interpretation error but that is what I heard

Which targets are ahead of McDowell?
eta: I had thought Clark and McDowell were the top two? Is that not the case?

Has more to do with the fact that he isn't #1 on our board and didn't receive the same type of love the Nick Ruffin got during BCW.

I made the "isn't #1 on the board" a little to strongly worded and will change it in a second. Not sure about that
I thought it was a little weird when I heard what I heard. I just heard that at BCW a ton of attention was paid to Ruffin and wasn't as much directed at Cortez. Not sure if the "wasn't as much" was indicative of us being that hard after Ruffin or us not being as hot on Cortez though.
I am thinking it is a little more of the first scenario though because Ruffin was a high priority

I am not sure why it would be for either scenario. They are being recruited for different positions. Ruffin at CB and Cortez at Safety.

I am saying that I heard they pushed hard for Ruffin to commit and that enthusiasm wasnt seen towards Cortez which makes you wonder if he really is #1 on the board or if they are still evaluating.
Tifwiw i thought it was weird too

Yeah. Especially since he was one of the ones rumored to be a BCW commit possibility.

I like the trainer who got interviewed. He seemed genuine when he was speaking about Carl. Not the pimping out his athletes like so many guys do

Per KN Watson talked afterwards with Dabo and Morris about the AU visit and said they were cool with it and supported him. He says he is done with visits.
Time will tell and if it's true about Dabo and Morris being cool with things then his high school coach seems to be the issue.

JMO, it seems like he wants to go to AU, but he's being pushed to CU.

I wouldn't go that far. He's definitely interested but he wouldn't pick us over them right now. There is definitely pressure for him to go to Clemson right now though.

Per Ole Miss 247 twitter, Elisha Shaw has named the Rebels his leader. Apparently cites the 'Kim-Dee-Chee' brothers as a major factor

Thats not going to sit well with Bama

It's easy to see why recruits can't resist that ugly, snaggle toothed mug of Freeze. All those championships don't hurt either.

Supposedly he loved BCW. I just can't believe Ole Miss did so much better than us that not only did they leapfrog us but Bama and UGA as well who we couldn't leap
