Are we starting to target 1 Juco DT per class? I would love that.

Makes you wonder if Watson's HS coach has a prior relationship with Dabo? At Bama maybe (sure get the impression he doesn't want his "boy" having anything to do with Auburn)? Maybe he slept in the same bed with Dabo and his Mom?
Probably knows him through camps over the years. Miller has coached high school for 40 years and went to a very small college.

Right now we are targeting 2 in Lamin and LKawrence. But yes I can see us signing 1 juco DT a year much like Bama and UGA does.

Ya I mean more along the lines of us looking at a JUCO DT on a yearly basis if not more than one. I personally am a fan of JUCO DTs. I think they are more developed, less risk, easier to evaluate/project and higher potential for earlier playing time.

If Hooks performance in Ole Miss's Spring game is any indication you may be right.

Research backs up your beliefs. Of the DTs who signed and qualified The top 5 juco DTs from the 2012 class and 8 of the top 9 from the 2009 class all contributed heavily in their teams 2 deep (many started) including all 10 from those 2 years who signed with SEC schools.

D'haQuille Williams does not plan to think about visits til Summer Camps are over per USc's 247 site.

That's a good sign for LSU, IMO... if he's gonna be an EE, and push his recruitment off till the Fall, that doesn't leave a lot of time for other teams to get in the picture.

You gotta think the odds are pretty good he sticks with LSU.

Not necessarily. He has already visited here twice remember and has a great relationship with Coach Craig.

Im probably alone on this but Im kind of turned off by Watson after this weekend.

First, what the coaches are doing is amazingly ridiculous. Its the kids decision to go wherever he wants and they need to leave it alone. The CU coaches are basically holding him hostage.

But what turns me off is the fact that the kid feels the need to be sneaky about his recruitment. An SEC QB has to be a leader and do what is best for the team. There are certain qualities that a young person needs to have to get to that high level. Making smart decisions and making the tough decision is a requirement to be an SEC QB. IF you are going to command a huddle and demand the respect of 120 teammates, you have to have a certain attutide and ty[pe of personality. This kid shows neither as far as Im concerned. I'd rather get a QB that doesnt allow another school to dictate his recruitment or allow himself to get in a situation where he has to sneak around to other schools.

I think this kid has a ton of growing up to do(yes, I know he is in HS) from a mental and maturity level.

I'd agree with all of this. Between the Clemson coaches acting like 5th grade boys getting mad about a girl talking to another guy, to this high school coach and his refusal to let the kid explore his options, I'd just as soon the AU coaches walk away.

I understand what you are saying but neither did Cam with the computer incident at Florida and he grew up quite well. Just sayin...I have my concerns on Watson through all this but I am not giving up on him yet.

I think you make some good points.

I wished he would have spoke up after it came out. Maybe just said I got to keep my options open, if something goes down at Clemson. He decided to crawl back into Dabo's dungeon and wait and bread and water instead.

Anyway, I don't think we will ever see him back now.

It likely won't matter. History has shown Teams and coaches doing the controlling in these situations normally get the guy. At this point I would be surprised if Watson ever visits Auburn again no matter how hard the Auburn coaches try.

I honestly hope our coaches never act like that, regardless of whether or not it costs a player. The whole threatening of pulling schollies for exploring options is so immature to me. Paul Johnson does it, Dabo does it, etc.

He does and I hate that! My dad actually defends it and we get in huge arguments of it.

Its so bush-league.

Saban says theres limited space and we may give your spot away but at least he doesnt act like a little 14 yr old girl about it.
