Garner in Carrollton GA today...is he visiting Russell?
That would be the logical guess.

A lot of the pressure on Rashaan comes from his lack of a decision this late in the game. Once you've formed a bond with every coaching staff and recruiting class it becomes much harder. Guys like Tre Williams, Nick Ruffin, etc. who were highly recruited as well relieved that pressure a long time ago by committing and staying firm in their decision. That takes the question out of the air and makes everything calmer.

Hope he chooses Auburn but I also realize that nobody knows what is going to happen except for Rashaan. To believe anything for or against Auburn before the LOI is sent in is misguiding.

All very good points for an arse like you...

In all seriousness you are correct in your assessment of the situation. A lot of it is his own doing, but it doesn't mean he is wrong in weighing his choices, but there are consequences that come with that.

in fairness that was info shared by a poster. I had errantly thought it was KN that posted it.

Maybe it was from one of those family members that are smart and not one those Auburn fans that see what they want.

From KN:

quote:

After last weekend, he thought he may be a better fit for the plan Alabama has laid out for him on defense. Now, he feels it is pretty even. Talking with Auburn DC Ellis Johnson apparently gave him a good feel for what his role at Auburn in the defense would be.

Sounds to me like Bama was leading. Now?

Rashaan Quotes per AUC LINK
quote:

It went good," Evans said. "I got a good chance to talk with the coaches. Me, my parents and my brother had a good time.

Based off what I've seen and evidence I've gotten, it's a great position for me that I can show all the aspects that I have (playing Star)

(on the position he will play) as long as the position I'm playing in best fits me and displays my versatility

(on what position is best) I actually kind of felt like that [was] Bama last weekend, but I guess with this weekend, going over all the stuff, I feel like it's kind of even to be honest with you,

He (Gus) kind of talked to us and told us, 'This could be the future lineup,' " Evans said. "That was really a big thing with me, playing beside Tre', because that's my boy. And De'Shaun. When he did that, that made me feel much differently about Auburn, maybe better.

(On Tre, DD, and Roberts coming to Auburn to see him) It meant a lot," Evans said. "The fact they care about me and want me to make the right decision for me, but also show me that hey, we're all brothers.

It was a bit of a different feeling [this weekend]. I actually had players come back and spend time with me. They didn't do that at Bama. That made me feel better that the players actually cared about me. It made me feel much different than the previous official I had.

(Gus to Rashaan) He needs me,

That's the thing, it could be just two [hats on NSD]. I'm really kind of excited to see what happens after that visit (UCLA)

I do have a good idea which school I want to commit to,

How he would feel if Rashaan does ultimately decide to play for his alma mater. - "It would mean a lot to me if he did decide to come here. For him to pickup where I left off would be a very enjoyable thing to watch. We are going to keep our fingers crossed and we will begin debating on where he should go over the next week. We will sit around the table and discuss what we think is best for him and what he thinks. Hopefully by next Tuesday or Wednesday we will have a decision."
