I really hope we can get Shaq Davidson to switch his commitment. We need a "shots fired" commit to go along with Braden Smith and Andrew Williams.

eta: and of course Rashaan.

I don't know much about Shaq but I like 6'3+ WRs. I want a Mizzou type thing with our receiving corps.

Who is listing him at 6'3''? Both Rivals and 247 have him at 6 flat.

I meant saying I want 6'3 WRs not 6' ones.

Also, I don't like stealing from USCe. I like Spurrier and I like when they beat clemson every year. I don't want to hurt the cause

Gotcha. There's been plenty of successful 6' receivers in the SEC. I like size but if you can get open then I don't care as long as you aren't 5'9'' (unless you're a slot receiver).

They'll be fine. I love Spurrier and them beating Clemson but I don't love it more than Auburn benefit/loss of recruiting.

I definitely see your point and there are a ton of shorter guys who do well. I just watched Mizzou this year and they seem to take the "Who cares if I am open if I can outjump you" approach

No doubt I agree. If I had two receivers of similar talent level but ones 3 inches taller I'm taking the taller one. We're on the same page with that

That sucks to hear man. I was buddies with hoke in college and he was always a down to earth and quiet kid. Always thought he was pretty nice. I guess his job/position has gone to his head.

There is a lot of pressure and his job requires people to believe he is first and best (whether or not it is true). Especially around NSD, I can see where the possibility of having a meltdown comes into play. Especially if you have to deal with the nuts on Das Boonker.

He just is pissing me off lately, especially since he has been wrong

So I took a nap and now Evans is visiting UCLA on his own dime...bad nap

Anyone have anything they feel like sharing from the Evans' camp about this?

He is seriously considering UCLA. But its no different than him seriously considering Bama. Just another team AU has to beat out for him. I do think that distance from home will end up a factor though.

Hopefully they have some horrible (non-deadly) flight experience getting all the way out there!

most people on here aren't old enough to remember when you used to get meals on domestic flights...

Based on the staff's recent actions I believe they want to add 5 to 6 more recruits to this class.

1 Star-Evans
1 WR-Davidson, Jojo, Treon
1 to 2 OL-Braden and Prince
1 DE-Andrew Williams or Godchaux
1 Safety/DB-Bonney, Parker, Treon

Because he is an exceptional Athlete Treon may be a take anyway if we can get him even if we get another WR & Safety. JMO from reading the tea leaves.

I'm a little surprised we are going after more WRs. At least DQ can't jump to the Draft now

I'm just not feeling good about Evans. My gut is telling me he picks UCLA.

I hope I'm wrong, but UCLA would be tempting for someone that wants to expand their horizons. I'm preparing myself for the disappointment.

Yeah but you would at least like to feel you have a feature #1 WR on roster. DQ and Coates are expected gone after 2014. While there is talent in the rest on roster I am not sure there is a #1 in there for 2015.

Damn it! Part of me just committed to UCLA.
