We hired Harbison and Craig as recruiters. After landing Johnson, Garner, Smith and Bisaccia, I'm OK with that. Every staff has to have them.

Imagine if we hired Trooper as TE coach. 25 5 stars every year but would we still suck?

Ya. Bunch of different people on this board have different stories they have heard.

I heard about it from the source and was shown adequate evidence. Players I know on the team said it wasn't surprising. Surprisingly it was Troop-a-loop who nipped it in the bud before it was something serious.

Aubie Spr96, I appreciate it.

Craig was lead recruiter on Austin Golson so that could be interesting as a second lineman.

Yeah, surprising... because I know you have so much concrete evidence that Troop was a terrible human being.

Please, stop with the Trooper hate, folks.

Just stop. Dude wasn't the devil. Doesn't mean he's a saint, either.

More importantly, he's not on our coaching staff anymore so it doesn't matter either way.

I have never said anything bad about Trooper so stop being a cheese dick. Only experience I have with Trooper is super awesome and he was one of the nicest guys I ever met. He took time away from a recruiting visit during Junior days to talk to me in the student center even with Tyshon Dye with him. Luper was cordial but not as friendly.

My only thoughts on Troop is that a change needed to be made and I am okay with cutting him loose for that reason. Wouldn't have cared if we kept him.

Considering a lot of people here think Troop is a scumbag and people have said he pimps out Tigerettes, if any of that is remotely true, he is not the guy you would expect to stop it

Also, Wayfarer, I am laughing at your Kiehl Frazier avatar. No fricking way he sees the field at QB unless someone takes a huge shite on the entire football team

Don't hate. Kid's going beast mode next year and wins the heisman with the most votes EVA! People will vote for Keihl? in 1st place and then not even put a second place.

Woah now, AE would never accept that kind of behavior.

It is a vibrator and it is Orange and Blue colored with the Auburn creed transcribed onto the handle

My bad. Back to recruiting, Craig could very well bring Golson and White back in the mix. Might get interesting for the next month with two key recruiters from two big vicinity recruiting rivals.

Golson is overrated and got blown up by Carl Lawson in camps.

Also, we need OGs not OTs and Golson project at OT. We already have basically a 3 deep at OT and not a 2 deep for OG/C

Can't see a reason to take Golson. Not a can't miss guy and doesn't fit a need

some of those tackles are eventually either going to have to leave or move inside to get on the field. What a dumb move to sign 7 in a class and all of them be freshmen and tackles.

We didn't sign 7 OTs and it wasn't stupid. We were hurting for OL depth.

Diamond, Callahan and Kozan all moved to the interior and it wasn't too much of a surprise.

For OT we didn't really have a top tier OT to be opposite of Greg Robinson

Avery Young and Patrick Miller will be solid and one will replace Greg when he leaves. We don't know how Shon Coleman will turn out

Will Adams needed a RS year for sure but he has potential for RsJr/RsSr year to start and will at least be a solid backup.

Still not sure about Robert Leff

Outside of Robert Leff I don't see a reason for not signing a single one of them especially since we are hurting for depth still even with the 7

but they could have also looked at the JUCO ranks for help instead of trying to start 2 freshmen, a sophomore and the messes at guard. Hell a 3 in 4 sophomore out of JUCO would have helped out some and not put us in the same hurt pile that Tubs left with the line all being the same age.

There's a lot of things the previous staff could have done in regards to recruiting that they didn't. No use bitching about it now. Fact is we are young at the OL.
