This sucks. If he is acceptable to the NCAA and SEC we should have found a way to get Hooks into school.
You shouldn't lower standards for one kid. That's the kind of thing that leads to the attitude the team has had. They start to think rules don't apply to them.

Well usually academic rules don't apply to football players anyways so I don't see why admissions is trying to start a trend here

Not completely true. They don't have to meet the standard that other students have to but they still have a standard they are supposed to meet. Hooks couldn't make the lowered standard so he shouldn't be the lone exception to the rule.

It wasn't that he didn't qualify, I read it like it was just a class that wouldn't transfer into Auburn that MS would transfer in.

JHoke made it seem like he would have to retake the course online in january if you wished to enroll.
Didn't qualify as of now

Sounding like Harbison has pulled D Gardner. Clemson fans are attacking him on twitter and he is saying "War Eagle".

Not retake, take AN online course meaning any that would transfer. I would guess that it was just a matter of a class not transferring in and he was short a few hours.

Hoke just retweeted one of Gardner's tweets. The tweet made it sound like he's flipped already. Something like just because recruits build a relationship with Cheese doesn't mean he recruits dirty...it's our decision.

"“Georgia is my hometown team,” Adams said. “I love the coaches there like Coach Garner and Coach [Mark] Richt. One thing I also like about Georgia is their coaches are not likely to leave. The coaches at Auburn are gone, and coaches have left some of my other schools, but at Georgia they have stability so that means something. "
How great would that be if Garner ends up at AU.

Is this Dylan Sumner-Gardner that's talking about Harbison?

I'm feeling better about Lawson and Liner now. Getting those two plus Foster and possibly a JUCO DLineman would be huge.

5-star DT Montravius Adams from Dooly County in Vienna, Ga., said Auburn hiring Rodney Garner makes a big difference in his recruitment and he'll probably visit Auburn now. He said he is close to Garner and he's a coach he could see himself playing for 3-4 years. He was a little surprised by the news and hadn't totally processed it but I'll have a complete story up in about 30 minutes
