Any reason to be worried about Trey Johnson

To be honest I have worried about him since Reuben committed. I just could not say it on AUF. Since then we have heard BVG was recruiting Trey as an OLB and Reuben as a MLB. From that point Trey has been talking about finding the right fit for him in most of his interviews. That leads me to believe he would rather play MLB and based on how he looked at the Rivals Challenge this summer I would agree with that. Only time will tell and again that's JMO from what I have observed FWIW.

Whoa, I didn't even notice the username. How's it going, man? Welcome. Everyone take it easy on ellitor. He's new from AUFamily but he's not a sunshine pumping retard like some of the ones that migrated over from The Auburn Eagle. I was just drafted by LSU in the Auburn fan draft, so that would explain why I am supporting the purple and gold. You'll also see various other Auburn fans doing the same with other SEC schools. If you know what's good for you, try to stay away from the SECRANT. It's gotten pretty bad over there.
It's going good man. Thanks for the welcome. I have no intent on going to the Rant but I am sure I will be dragged into some recruiting threads.

How well does the transition from MLB -> OLB usually go? Because if we want to get the best talent on the field, that would be Nova, Trey, and Reuben, all MLBers

I'm sure it's been covered, but what's the plan with Cass when Rueben comes in? Anyone?

Either play Reuben in certain packages to get his feet wet until he's comfortable enough to call the shots and let Cass play majority of snaps.

Or play Reuben at OLB and Cass in the middle.

Or play Reuben at MLB and Cass on the outside and let Cass continue to make the play calls.

One of these is the correct answer. We need both of them on the field.

TIFWIW. The going rumor is Derrick Green silently committed to Michigan and that is why he has been quiet since his Michigan OV this past weekend.

Well I don't see why Green would commit to us. I just don't see us getting any commits anytime soon

I love Auburn, I got my BS from Auburn in 1995. I spend a good bit of $ and time taking my son to some Auburn games every year.

But at this point with this current staff if I had a kid with the dreams and talent to play in the NFL I could not advise my child to go to Auburn and play for these coaches.

Yes. We are looking at Jake Waters and Brian Burrell But I think anything with any uncommitted recruits is in limbo until the coaching situation is resolved.

Hell my problem was I could not find a user name TD would allow. My account sat in limbo for 2 years while I lurked here until I gave chicken a user name he would approve. This will explain why I've been a member since 2010 and a post count under 100!

Compettiton. Something we have not had in years at AU. and IMO one of the main reasons we are so weak.

For Reuben's freshman season (2013), I look at it like this: Let Cass McKinzy start, but rotate Reuben Foster in a good bit to prepare him for his sophomore year. Then, in 2014, let RF take over the middle while CM takes over at one of the OLB positions. We need to get all the best players on the field at once, and I think CM would be a better OLB than RF.

It's been noted that RF struggles in pass coverage so one would have to assume that they'd avoid playing him at OLB.

That's why I'm saying let Cass McKinzy transition to outside, assuming Reuben Foster is as good as advertised at MLB.
