Someone on 247 said they saw prosche in class today and he was hanging out with Reese dismukes (who was wearing a suit and tie for some reason) and daren bates

Said he was smiling and they were talking football from what it sounded like

Just thought that was cool if true

some interesting statistics i've come across when looking at MSU:

Last season, vs. BCS conference opponents (in other words, take out the cupcakes) Auburn averaged roughly 30 ypg more than State (330/297).

Bottom line is both offenses really struggled to move the ball last season... both teams have new starting QBs and are replacing their leading rushers (vic ballard/mike dyer)... both teams also have issues along the OL.

State has a significant advantage on defense, when looking at last season's totals... 80 ypg less vs. BCS Conference opponents (341/421).

So with Reese back are we just substituting him in for Tunde?

Or do we change things around?

After Chad Slade completely whiffed on multiple blocks, I would be okay seeing Christian Westerman in there. He may not know the right guy to block but at least he will hit someone

I was wondering if he was wearing it at a sort of punishment. Not really punishment, just trying to look his best since he acted like a jackass

Probably a reminder of who he is representing while in public. Always stay classy Reece.

I believe that is the plan... had someone other than Fariyake played, it would've probably meant 1) a longer suspension for Dismukes and/or 2) more shifting around of the other four OL positions once Dismukes was reinstated.

That's just my opinion, though... hopefully the interior running improves with RD back... we really struggled to get inside push when we really needed it Saturday.

Perfect punishment.

ETA: Obligatory recruiting nugget,

Carl Lawson felt like we had a chance to win against Clemson and feels like he can contribute immediately.

Reese hasn't been confirmed to start on Saturday though, just that he'll play. My guess is he won't start, but will probably come in the 2nd series or something to the effect.
