Soo... you don't hope and pray Loeffler can teach OUR CURRENT STARTING QB how to read coverage and make progressions? You're giving up on Frazier already? C'mon man, he's a SOPHOMORE making his first career start.
As a fan, I get ranting and raving about a sub-par performance such as last night, but statements like this piss me off.
I was at the game so it is hard to really tell what is going on across the field. Rewatched it today and Lutz was wide open on atleast a dozen plays where Frazier didnt even look at him. If I were the AU QB, I would look to see where he is on every play. Utilize him..
I liked some stuff, didnt like some. I just dont feel like we are where we should be with the amount of great recruits we have had over the past 3 years...

I want the starting D to be
DE- Ford
DT- Wright
DT- Blackson
DE- Lemonier
OLB- Frost
MLB- Holland
OLB- Bates
CB- Bell
CB- Therezie
S- Florence
S- Whitehead
And I really want Coates to get more time, Bray & Reed are pretty much the same kind of player. Need more possession type receivers

I was also at the game and Lutz was open on 80% of pass plays along with Blake. No other receiver could get any separation other than Reed on the one botched endzone pass.

This is pretty much what I would choose, just put Davis in there instead of Bell.

I agree at every position
Only one I may change my mind on in the future is Holland.

Who was it last night that got demolished on the fade route and committed pass interference?
Posted on 9/2/12 at 3:42 pm to WarCamEagle

Davis. But he played well besides that

Once Cassanova learns the D I'd want it to be him. And Bates is the best option we have for now.
It was a toss up between Bell and Davis for me. Therezie has the most upside as a CB, I had high hopes for Whitaker but I just can't find anymore excuses for him

Positive? While, BVG's defenses allowed 4 400+ yards games first year at UGA, BVG only allowed 4 400+ yard games total in next three years.

In short, like anything else, a transition in defensive philosophy and scheme takes time. BVG's track record is too good.

DE- Lemonier
OLB- Frost
MLB- Spikes
OLB- Green
CB- Rogers
CB- Therezie
S- Florence

I just made a couple of my own preferences that would help a little.

Viewing the game in person vs. on TV often gives different perspectives. In person I saw a team fighting to win, players that played hard. I saw a young QB with a strong arm who will improve on his decision making. I saw an offense that will be more consistent than last years and one that will improve. I saw a defense that has a ways to go, but is improved.
I remember being in JH last year when we stunk in the game VS Utah State. I was at Clemson last year when they scored 38 with Sammy, but their QB and RB are improved this year.
The MSU game is critical, we need a win.

There were times last night when BOTH of the DT's were getting double teamed on runs. At that point, it is up to the linebackers to make a play. We don't have near the athleticism that is needed at lb, and that falls squarely on this staff's shoulders. As good as they have been at recruiting, they have dropped the ball in crucial areas of the team.

yea they solely focused on offense it seemed.. i think they thought holland and bates would eventually become something
