I wonder how bummed out the visiting recruits are about Auburn right now.

I imagine they had a good time today before the game, and probably enjoyed watching a hard-fought football game. It's not like we were blown out of the water.

If I was Adams, I'd look at our D-Line and go "I can be a baller out there"

But that's just me.

Frazier did not look very confident out there. That said, Clint wouldn't have done better.

Reuben was there, his personality will turn this into a great reason to sign with Auburn.

Frazier will get better. Was a tough matchup for any QB. His stats are comparable to Boyd, but his inexperience showed in spades. I think he will turn out OK. If not, and the LB play doesn't improve, I think we will have a lot of drunken meltdowns this year.

that's true.. starting could be a huge advantage for us...

he could have also looked at our Dline and said, "man these guys were suppose to be some of the best int he country, yet they looked bad"....

Ok not bad, I just expected our line to get much more pressure on taj

They actually did a decent job of containing Boyd. We failed at containing Ellington. Our tackling of him was miserable.

Yeah I think the DL did pretty decent against Boyd (especially in the 1st half), but they over pursued a couple times and got bit. I have no clue what happened to our run defense. The front 4 were getting zero help

We had pass rush. Boyd had some good escapes. We just got beat.

When Boyd passed, he only had the ball for 2-3 seconds. Can't really do anything about that

We had great QB pressure you kidding? How many times did Tahj Boyd get flushed out of the pocket? The problem was that no one wrapped up and when he got flushed out our LBs turned into girl scouts

Our DTs were not as advertised and I wanted more out of them especially Whitaker but as a whole our DL didn't seem awful.

If Frazier can figure something, anything out in the pass game we will be pretty dangerous. I mean, our run game seemed pretty legit even considering they could stuff the box knowing they would'nt get beat

I agree with you. That's why I keep coming back to LB play. It killed us tonight. The front 4 had little support as you pointed out.

10 yard cushions or the reason for that. We play press in the red zone, but our small corners get killed on the fade.

I was at the game watched the D-Line and they got a ton of pressure. Ford and Lemonier were beasting it out there, but the LBers could not tackle, Bates kept going for the big hit and had to get bailed out, secondary looked ok.

Great post. Agree 100%. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if bates and holland never played again.

Outside the Mason fumble, our run game was very solid. Jay Prosch was a delight to watch opening up some holes as well.

Wide Receivers need to step up. We can't just rely on Lutzie and Blake. I mean, Trevon Reed in the end zone, Quan Bray showing nothing, and Sammie Coates being a non factor just has me floored. Dear Lord

Open the gates and hand him his personal belongings.

That type of "me" thinking after a team loss is the last thing we need.
