2013 Auburn Baseball Thread: 1-8 (17-12)

Baseball season is here!
In my mind, Pawlowski's gonna have to prove that he'll be able to take us somewhere before I start getting my hopes up too high about anything in the postseason, but that doesn't mean I'm not unbelievably excited about this season.
Bold indicates a conference game
Underlined indicates a televised game.
I'll keep this thread updated with W/L as well as TV stations as they're announced.
Schedule groupings are based on midweek vs. weekend games.
For those in Auburn, all baseball games can be heard on 97.7 FM, or 96.7 FM if there is a basketball game.

I think we'll steal one of the Vandy, OM, State series and we'll sweep one of Bama or UGA at home. Scheduling didn't do us any favors.

I want to give us a few more home series wins, but it is hard to see us taking a series from Ole Miss, Arkansas, or Vanderbilt regardless of where we play.

I still can't fathom how we managed to take 2/3 against LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Arkansas last year, and the proceed to get swept by Alabama.
We'll win some we shouldn't, we'll lose some we shouldn't, squeak our way into the SEC tournament and get knocked out just early enough to miss regionals again this year.

When LSU won the CWS in '09 we beat UT 18-3 in game 1 and then lost the series. UT went 26-29 that year and 11-19 in conference.
Weird shite happens in baseball.

Same. I'll definitely be at the Friday game and will likely go to the rest of the weekend games as well. I'm not sure if I'll stay through the end of the 2nd Maine DH game on Saturday. If either team is up big late, I may beat the crowd. If the weather is nice I'll stay.
eta2: looking at the weather it is supposed to be nice on Friday and get cold on Sat/Sun. fricking Maine is bringing the weather with them.

It should be if we fall on our faces again, but remember who our AD is.
Time for Pawlowski to do something. No reason whatsoever that we can AT LEAST be a middle-of-the-pack team in the SEC. Yeah, the SEC is stacked, but we've recruited well enough to compete with these teams.
Sneaking into the SEC Tournament only because the field expanded isn't going to cut it.

What's up with that schedule?... the OOC is pretty weak... no USA, no ACC teams like GT, one game against Troy... there's not one decent OOC series at all.
Looks like we miss out on UT, UK, and USCe from the east... Tenn is awful, but the other two are probably pretty good teams.
