But but he runs bleachers with the players….

It didn’t take long for me to see through that tough guy BS that he tries to pull off. Harsin has ZERO sideline presence and looks lost on game days.

I was generally excited when he was hired because I bought into all the “my way or the highway” vibes he brought in. But I was fooled.

But it is his fault that he had absolutely no one beyond a the starters at those positions who was SEC-caliber.

When he did he ran them off lol. And he sucked coaching the actual starters. We haven’t even experienced the pain of the depth chart turnover. When the rest of Gus guys are gone, just wait for that cup of heartburn.

Bro, that is just a stab. Players at key positions are transferring out of every program now to get playing time. Transfer portal made that possible. Gus was hit by it as it Harsin and Saban and everyone else. Keeping good depth for 90 percent of the programs will be tough now.

I was hopeful as well. I also wasn't bothered with players leaving. Usually happens with a new staff, couple that with COVID and the portal, it was not alarming.

So, you want to build the program. I understand that it's a painful few years & I'm a little more patient than most. But damn, so far all we've seen is the demo phase. Nothing that shows progress moving us forward.
What can you point at that shows the way forward with success?

Having an interim AD means a season of pain. I can't imagine any moves will be made until the new AD is in office. And we need those hated boosters to step up and bring a wheelbarrow of $ to fix Greene's experiment.

Dark days. Silver lining-Maybe it means parking will be easier on game days.

Slacker, agree. I don’t think hars was remotely ready for this big a jump, and continues to be in over his head, plus I don’t think he has coaches in place to succeed

Compare him to Lanning and Kelly for instance. Lanning actually brought in players in a short time to improve his team - and both Kelly and Lannings teams are improving on the field. Our roster has gotten worse in two years and the on the field play is regressing.

Why wouldn’t we have at least brought in Daniel’s from UGA or some type of improvement at the WR, LB, O and D lines.

Of course its a problem for everyone, but the players we lost to the portal weren’t very good to begin with.

Here’s what Gustav left Harsin to work with

Look at the position groups and tell me how many players listed would make the two-deep on any SEC program not named Mizzou, SC or Vandy?

Of course the reason I was optimistic about Harsin was that I thought he could take these marginal guys and coach them up to SEC quality. Clearly that isn’t happening, and despite the relative quality of the few recruits he’s brought in, he has done nothing to give me even a shred of confidence that he will address the ever-widening gap between AU and the middle of the conference, much less the top.

Nah we lost a few good players to the portal. Shivers. Tyrone Truesdell, Kobe Hudson, etc

The two deep was good enough to be better than 6-7.

Harsin isn’t doing himself any favors by failing to strengthen his weakest links.

Trying to pin this shite on Gus two years later is absurd.

Gus may have left us bare but Harsin hasn't done shite in the recruiting or portal aspect. Can't defend Harsin any longer

When Harsin was hired, that was my first thought....recruiting.

No ties to the region, and his assistants were meh, as far as recruiting reputation. Turned out, they were even worse at coaching.

Green should hold his head in shame

Lee Hunter. Manning is starting on the OL for Kentucky. Height was in a good spot at So Cal playing a lot until he got banged up. None really lighting the world on fire, but a few are solid contributors for other teams right now.
