Well, it appears that we made things interesting. Ahead by 18 when I crashed mid way through the 2nd half

Nah we wouldn't get votes. We'd have to get to 10-1 before votes come in IMO

We've got to talk baout how Cinmeon Bowers went 2-3 from 3pt land. In other words, he shot better from 3pt than FT line
ETA: Tyler Harris needs to stop trying to be a do everything guy on defensive breaks. Picks up a ton of dumb fouls on that trying to save 2 points. When he goes out, our post game is atrocious

We made it closer than it should have been but I still really like this team. When you have this many players that have never been together you are going to see a lot of inconsistent play even within a game. As roles get defined and leaders emerge we will see fewer of these lapses like we saw last night.
On a side note does anybody else think that Pearl wanted to get the ball to Bowers after he missed those 2 ft's near the end of the game. At 1st I was yelling at Canty for passing him the ball but after thinking about it I think that is what Pearl wanted. It was after a timeout so I know he could have schemed to keep the ball out of his hands but the way we set up against their pressure and got the ball to Bowers makes me think it was intentional to put him in another pressure situation at the line.
OT but I make my 7-8 Head coaching debut tonight at 6:30 as we go on the road to take on the Brindlee Mtn Lions. I only have 2 eight year olds so it should be a good challenge to open the season. We play an exciting up tempo offense with a high pressure defense so any in the area that want to see something entertaining "basketball" it should be worth the trip.

First & foremost we've got to play some dad gum defense. There are times in a game where it looks like they don't even practice D...& I know they do.

He very well could've planned it and I see how one could believe it.
If that were true Pearl must believe we're a tournament team if he's confident enough to put it in Bower's hands for experience

Sonny Smith made a comment during an exhibition game referring to Bowers improving about being "clutch" or some BS and I was curious.
So I went back and looked at last ~4 minutes play by play of "close" games (eyeballed things within ~6pts and that I remembered close)
FG- 7/12 58%
FT- 9/24 38%
tl;dr version, if we can get Bowers the ball to shoot a clean shot, we are in business
