Oh I know. Just saying anyone who thought he would great outside 3nD is a moron.
I think by Senior year he will be solid well rounded. Just don't expect him to look like TJ Dunans on the wing

I expect by SR year he is going to be primary wing defender, 13-15pppg/5-6rpg/2-3apg

WTH happened?

I leave for one half of basketball and y'all can't rally the team to a win.

What did I miss in the second half? Besides a letdown.

Colorado shot 57.5% FG, 53.3% 3PT and 81% FT for the game.

You don't win those games, especially when your FT shooting is 54.5% and most are missed 1and1s

I knew they were money from the line but dang. That Scott guy can play. Really good shot for a guy his size.

I can't say much that hasn't already been said. Just a few of my thoughts:

-Between the first two games, to me, the team looks best with Kanty, Lang, Dunans, Harris, and Spencer on the floor.

-Offense isn't there yet. We're still taking a lot of poor shots early in the shot clock. We also have a lot of offensive series where guys just stand around and expect someone else to make something happen. Maybe I'm wrong here, but that's what it looks like to me.

-We NEED another big in this recruiting class. Unless we can get a graduate transfer, we're looking at Spencer (6'9) and McLemore (6'8) as our only two "bigs" in 2016-2017.

Josh Scott is basically a college Tim Duncan. He does everything right and is about as fundamentally sound as you can get.

On that note, Colorado looks like a Spurs team. Well coached, does the small things and doesn't make mistakes. They don't get phased and just do thheir thing

Once Langs knee heals, this lineup will be legit.

If Bowers can just do the Mican drill and practice free throws until our next game, we should be legit in the post

If he could figure out that he isn't Lebron James that would help a lot too.

While it is frustrating to watch Bowers, the shots he takes typically are open.

They are high level difficulty shots but lightly contested

It's his under the rim shots that suck something fierce. It's bad when he's better at a 3 ball than he is a post shot.

It's all his shots. Jay Tate wrote a pretty scathing article about him after the game essentially calling for him to be benched

That's why he needs to be benched. He needs a wake up call. Do it now, early in the season, and maybe he gets the message and starts playing better. If not, he can ride the bench all year.

I'd have to agree. He brings very little to the table at this point. He'll be needed off the bench, but other than that, his minutes should be limited.

What's he shooting? It's got to be in the 20% range.

Eta: it's 33%.

Bowers is horrible and really costing the team with his carelessness with ball and lack of defense. I've never seen a guy with worse touch around the rim. I hope Bruce puts him on the bench.

He really is. Spencer is going to be legit though. I'm excited about his future.

No doubt. He should be starting by Friday. This team is going to be fun to watch. Not sure how many we'll win yet, but the future is bright.

I agree, he has a ton of potential. He needs to develop offensively though. I don't know that I've seen him post someone up and make a move to the basket.

Yeah, that will come with time I think. I like the fact he is more concerned with everything else but taking shots at this point. He seems very selfless. Of course we need post production in a big way, but at least he's attacking the rim and cleaning up the rim rollers. (BS technical today)

What I'm most impressed with is his D. His timing on blocks is top notch.

ETA: #40 for Colorado reminds me of a Tim Duncan. That guy did everything right today, didn't miss. I was very impressed with him. I think Spencer could be that type of player, only with a little more athleticism.
