There is a thread on the rant listing all the teams that could have made the playoffs if it had always been 12 teams. Auburn would have one appearance this entire time.

We would’ve made it in 2017. Just missed in 2019. It sucks we had that great defense and a true freshman QB starting.

I was thinking 2013, 2017, and 2019. But 2019 would have been right on the borderline.

Also, 2014 if we had held on to win the iron bowl I bet we had gotten in at 9-3. Ifs and buts I know

Games would start in the 2nd/3rd weekend of December. This means the top 4 teams playoff much sooner than a 30 day break, it rewards the regular season to try more to get that BYE else why even try if you get to the championship. Notre Dame will be 5th-12th until they find a conference.

That takes the power out of ESPN, sport writers, talking heads and their stupid rankings. Gotta keep that human element in so eye test and shite like that matter.

Talent is so heavily concentrated in a very few teams we have a difficult time getting a good game with only 4 playoff teams.
