I’m an idiot when it comes to this. I want Joc and Duvall. We should definitely get one more catcher too. I have no clue about Freeman. My guess is the Angels. He’s from there. Great organization.

You sign Freeman regardless of cost. He's he face of the organization. You sign Smyly if he wants back but no need to throw big money at him. And you try to sign at least 2 out of the outfield rebuild (Rosario, Soler, Pederson, Duvall). Maybe Pache will be ready to move up. Acuna will be back. Yes, we are in dire need of a catcher. d'Arnaud is a defensive liability and always injured. We were lucky the Dodgers and Astros didn't test d'Arnaud's arm more often. He can't throw out my grandma.

I hope they keep Soler. He’s the kinda guy that can get hot and put up some massive numbers. With that said, the Braves org seems to love Duvall and he’s versatile and I can’t see them letting Joc walk.

Soler makes sense if the NL gets the DH.

Ozuna's situation (and his salary) needs to get resolved somehow. That being in limbo is a huge unknown that is difficult to plan around outside of a 1 year deal to someone like Soler (who was still just below the MLB average in 2021; OPS+ of 97).

I think Soler is going to try to get a big payday from his WS performance - as he should - but with AA's history of letting guys walk (Josh Donaldson among others) I don't think the Braves would get into a bidding war for him.

There is still Pache and Waters waiting in the wings to fill any OF gaps, which will probably be required until RAJ gets back.

After the moves AA made around the trade dead line, I am am not going to sweat what the front office does too much.

Keep freeman(he’s a lifer) and Duvall
Let joc and Ozuna walk

No way we can pay rosario what he’s about to get offered. Probably can’t keep Soler either.
The biggest question is what to do with d’Arnaud? Isn’t he gone too?

He got a 2/$16 extension earlier this year.

My offseason to do list would look something like this:

1. Resign Freeman if the price is right. If it gets higher than 6/$160M, AA has to seriously consider letting him go.

2. Figure out the outfielders. I think we should bring back two of them. In this order, I want Rosario, Soler, Duvall, Joc.

3. Add a 5th starter. Going into next season, we have Morton, Fried, and Anderson at the top of the rotation. That is a really good start. After two Achilles tears, the Braves have to operate under the assumption that Soroka won't be back. I think you let the young guys (Muller, Wright, Touki) fight it out for one rotation spot and find a veteran on a one year deal for another.

3. Clear the logjam at the top of the minors. There are several young players in this organization who are talented but are either blocked or need a change of scenery. I'd like to see the Braves put together a package (Muller, Contreras, Waters?) to try and land Ketel Marte from Arizona. That would get CF settled.

I'm a big fan of Swanson. Excellent defense. That's all we need. There's no reason to move him.

Soler and Rosario.

Soler is a perfect DH. Rosario can be your LF'er for the next 3-4 years.

Freddie isn't going anywhere. Just FWIW, his wife is from here and wants to be here. That plays a big hand in this.

d'Arnaud

Signed to a two- year extension during the season.

Will give Langeliers enough time to get ready to come up.
