Cousins is capable of winning a SB. Like with every other team, they still need talented roster.

Cousins will be 36 when next season starts and is coming off a torn Achilles. The Falcons just threw away 180 million dollars and the next 3 years. They won't even make the playoffs in the next 3 years much less a super bowl.

I think playoffs but 0 playoff wins.
Not because of Cousins though.
Because they are the Falcons.

I think ATL upgraded but that’s not saying much. I’m not sure Cousins is capable of winning a SB unless we have a top 5 defense.

This is being bookmarked and we'll revisit this in January b/c this is a terrible take.

The Falcons are in full rebuild mode.

This is categorically false.

They think they can win now with him.

This is correct. Blank wants to win now due to his age and drafting a QB isn't gonna assure that. Cousins does

Matt Ryan was 35, didn't have a major injury and was the #4 passer in the NFL when they got rid of him

He'd of been here through last year if Blank hadn't have flirted w/Watson.

They need a young Qb to grow with the young talent they have.

They can still draft a QB to sit behind Kirk.

Go ahead and book mark it. While you are at it you can go find the bookmark about when I said going after Deshaun Watson would be a terrible move. When a lot of you were hell bent on the Falcons giving up the house for him. Go ask the Browns how that worked out for them.

How is that a terrible take. The Falcons last season above 500 was 7 years ago. Thats right 2017. If they are not in rebuild mode then some one should be fired.

2018-7-9
2019-7-9
2020-4-12
2021-7-10
2022-7-10
2023-7-10

And you believe Cousins injured slow arse at 36 37 or 38 is going to lead this team to a super bowl.

Talk about being delusional. Do you even watch football?

If he’s is delusional, then you’re even more delusional lmao. If the falcons are 7-10 with Des Ridder, what would they be with an actually good QB? The answer is a playoff team with a chance to make a deep playoff run.

Yea ok, Cousins hasn't made a deep playoff run in his career and that was with the best wr in the NFL. That was also before he tore his achilles.

Because his defenses, especially the back-7, w/Minny were arse .

The same things were said about Stafford when he went to LA.

You still need a talented roster. Do you think Josh Allen or Justin Herbert also suck?

Their contracts prohibit their teams from putting a better roster around them. The Chargers just lost two stud receivers for this exact reason.

But in the same.breath you can't win w/o a QB.

It is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

No I don't but they also are not turning 36 and coming off of an achilles injury either. It makes zero sense to throw that kind of money at a guy his age coming off of a major injury, especially for 3 years. The Steelers paid Wilson for 1 year, then went out and traded a 6th round pick that could possibly become a 4th for Fields. There is a reason the Falcons haven't been above 500 in 7 years and it's dumb shite like this.

I wish the Falcons had not made the move to get Kirk because I like him.
