I like this idea but I think Edge/DL would benefit more at 8 this year. Cousins is the answer though.

I think they're gonna address Edge in FA IMO. That'll leave them available to draft BPA at 8 or draft McCarthy or Penix to sit under Cousins for 2-3 years and then take over.

JJ is gonna be very, very good.

Based on what? I’d rather have Spencer rattler tbh. Maybe even Bo Pix

Jesus Christ. Just no.

JJ has all of the intangibles you want in a franchise QB. He reminds me a lot of Drew Brees

If they go after Cousins , I will lose my shite. He is 35 and is not going to be a part of a rebuild. It would be a huge waste of money. Either get Fields or draft one. They can get a really good qb and wr with the first 2 picks. Word is for pass rush they will be going after Floyd.

Every trade I've looked at they keep the #8 pick. They either include Pitts or lose a 2nd this year and 2nd and 4th next year.

I do like JJ alot. Also not sure how many games people watched of Washington but I watched a lot of them. Penix is really good. Injuries are concerning and he had a bad game in the playoffs but he is really really good. Also IMHO Odunze is the best wr in this draft. I would love for the Falcons to get a shot at him at #8.

He also doesn’t seem to be a diva.

This draft is very deep at WR. I think you’re right about Odunze but there’s not much separation from the next guys: Nabers, Thomas, Mitchell, McConkey, Coleman.

WRs who have "contested catch ability" as the top line on their scouting report scare the shite out of me. That often translates to "can't separate from NFL defensive backs".

This offense doesn't need another Drake London. They need someone who scares defenses downfield on every snap.

It would be hard to say there is any wr better than Ladd at getting separation.

Yea I like the fact he is physical. A willing downfield blocker. Hard worker without that diva mentality. Starting to see a lot of mocks with JJ going to the Falcons at 8 and I dont mind it. I would be good with it. Like a lot of guys here I think that Williams and Maye are not that good. I dont necessarily think they will be busts but I don't think either will be an Allen or Mahommes.

You can still draft your future QB if you get Cousins. Draft either JJ or Penix, they sit for 2-3 years behind Cousins, then take over once he's gone. The Green Bay model.

He's only gonna be here for 3 years max. He's not gonna cripple the cap like most think.

Damn that was dumb. Hell let's pay a 35 year old qb coming off a major injury to be a below 500 team, a huge contract. Welcome to the shite show.

Matt Ryan was 35, didn't have a major injury and was the #4 passer in the NFL when they got rid of him. Cousins was the #4 passer in the NFL, now coming off a major injury, is 35 and you throw the bank at him. The Falcons are in full rebuild mode. They are not making a super bowl with Cousins. They need a young Qb to grow with the young talent they have. They are apparently not going after a qb in the draft with the kind of money they threw at Cousins. They think they can win now with him. It was a waste of money and a dumb move.
