Should we be worried about a future branding change?

Given the news with the Cleveland Guardians.. or are Braves and Chiefs ‘safer’ names because they don’t flat out say Indian?

I definitely think some leftist activists will push for it, and it'll be led by their activist in chief, Jeff Schultz.

Honestly, if the word "Braves" is offensive, I no longer want to live in this world. Keep cancelling out anything about Indians or Native Americans and my kids won't even know what the hell an Indian is.
"Sorry kids, America cancelled them so they've been wiped from history."

I think the organization has been steadily and intentionally guarding against this by alliances with NA groups and charitable causes and the like.
In lieu of everyone regaining their minds from woke/pc madness, making the franchise a huge proponent of NA history/culture sharing/etc. is probably the best long term bet.
The reality is it would crush the fan base and you'd seriously probably thousands and thousands of fans right now, at least in the near term. Now, if it is a slow boil thing like Cleveland where it's discussed with some seriousness with a decade, that could change. But I don't think it's really there right now.

I think Indians and Braves are apples and oranges, but the far left doesn't
I think the Braves' recent outreach and clear publicity regarding its relationship with native tribes helps keep the name around for at least a decade, but people won't just let this go away

I have noticed an extreme lack of tomahawk logos around the new park. All of the signage is either the script A or the script Braves wordmark alone without the tomahawk.

Imagine if they try to enforce a "no tomahawk chop" rule.

And #ForTheA replaced #ChopOn last season.

The Braves are my squad for life, and my childhood is the chop, and everything that was Fulton County Stadium and Turner Field.
But my temporary disappointment in the name change would be soothed by Braxton from Woodstock’s YouTube rant on how he’s “never going to a game again.”
If I was still feeling down I’d listen to his “anti-vax” PSA on the channel for good measure.

I just wouldn't have a favorite MLB team anymore if the Braves are no longer the Braves.
