Olson is having a great season and hit two huge HRs this weekend. He leads the majors in doubles, is second in HRs (34, one behind Schwarber and Alvarez), and 9th in OPS (.895). He has been the best position player on the team this season by a country mile and is probably going to win another Gold Glove.
How people still complain about this guy is mind boggling.

Don't lump together Olson with Riley.
Olson has carried this team offensively. Riley is obviously a mental case with the bat this year.

I like Olson.
He also strikes out a ton. Doesn’t hit for average and a lot of his home runs are meaningless.
I don’t understand how a .265 hitter is beyond critique. (.258 lifetime).
It’s not like he’s going to be in the HOF.

If Olson ends up in the HOF it will completely water down the hall.
He would have one of the worst lifetime averages of any player in it.
And he is helping choke away this season. 0-4 today. At least he didn’t strike out.

He’s played in his 921st consecutive game which leads the MLB and is 8th all time.
