Quick thread since nowhere else to throw this...

Most NBA games look this way early in the year.

I would have gone if the Braves were not playing. Just one data point, but still...

That was my 1st thought, but I figured opening night in Atlanta coming off last season would have some good attendance.

I’m a die hard Hawks fan but I forwent the game to watch the Braves…

The crowd looked better as the game went on, but, even Trae mentioned in his PC that the Braves had a lot to do with that.

Our playoff crowds were second to only MSG… not really worried, especially after watching what we looked like last night. Yeesh. This team is SERIOUS.

The only bright spot in that torture chamber of a sports night last night

I think all Atlanta crowds are proving to be rowdy and great fans. I remember back when we played the Giants in the playoffs and some NY media asshat tried claiming we don't deserve any sports success because of our "lack of fan support".

So it's been really refreshing to see our teams get crazy/loud crowds. Just wish the Falcons could turn it around so they can get in on the fun.

Would love to see MBS get rowdy for a falcons game. It’s incredibly loud for soccer and college fb. I was at the two playoff games in the final year of the dome and it was deafening. We have it in us but we need a team capable of generating excitement too

Unfortunately, they're two years away (at minimum) of being able to put enough talent on the roster to be competitive.

I don’t think that’s accurate. Yes, the talent rebuild will take time but the cap situation will ease some after this season and the upgrade in coaching across the board will compensate for some of that lack of elite talent.
