Falcons Preseason Thread

I didn't watch on Friday, but by all accounts it wasn't pretty. I don't really care. It's pretty well documented that the preseason means jack squat. If someone were to force me to be concerned about something, it would just be that Quinn wasn't pleased with the effort and style of play that the team played with on Friday night. Otherwise, no biggie.
Also, supposedly Duke Riley played like arse again. In terms of personnel, he might be my biggest concern heading into the season. I don't think we pay both Campbell and Jones moving forward, so we really need Riley to step up and fill the void that one of them (probably Campbell) will leave after 2019.
The rest of the preseason shapes up like this:
August 17th (Friday) - Home vs Chiefs
August 25th (Saturday) - at Jacksonville
August 30th (Thursday) - Home vs Miami
My official season predictions:
at Philly - WIN
Carolina - WIN
Cesspool - WIN
Cincinnati - WIN
at Pittsburgh - LOSS
Tampa bay - WIN
NYG - WIN
Bye
(This is where things get a little fuzzy. I'm not sure who in the NFL office approved a schedule that has us playing 7 of the last 10 games on the road, but it's going to be tough. Luckily the only real cold weather we'll see will be in Green Bay)
at Washington - WIN
at Cleveland - WIN
Dallas - LOSS
at New Orleans - LOSS (this is when the panic will begin to ensue)
Baltimore - WIN
at Green Bay - LOSS
Arizona - WIN
at Carolina - WIN
at Tampa Bay - LOSS
Final Record: 12-4 and #2 seed. I think Minnesota wins the top seed at 13-3.

I think the Duke Riley project is all but over. Guess he's got a few more pre-season games to prove himself worthy of a roster spot.
Also, there should be some sort of actual game plan this week in week 2 so if we fail to score or even get a first down in the 1st half, expect the panic button to arise. Mainly because of Sark. I'm still iffy on the guy but he's definitely in put up or shutup mode.
I think somewhere between 9-7 and 11-5 are good guesstimates of where this team should end up. I could see us beating Philly @ Philly and then losing a game we shouldn't like Cincy at home.

Kazee was awesome.
There is no way you can let Deion walk. He is a star.

That's pretty much what I said...

I’m at 10-6. Split with the swamp trash. 4-2 Div record. Possible for 11-5

This was really about the only positive thing I could gather from the first half.
Foye showed some good sideline-to-sideline speed, too.

The defense is built around his speed

Keanu Neal is going to get flagged after every big hit this year.

Falcons starters looked really, really good against a likely division winner last night

Anyone teach Marcus Williams how to tackle yet?

I like our chances at getting to the Super Bowl if we get a bye. If our offense gets back to being elite we should go 11-5 or 12-4. But the schedule is brutal and the NFC South will be a blood bath.

What’s your TE Hooper look like this year?
Asking for a fantasy football friend.
Thank you

he looks the same as he did last year. Only real difference is his hair cut.

So he looks like he’s matured.
You had one of the best TE’s ever and Matty Ice knew how to get the ball to him.
I’m thinking Hooper could have a very good year.
Seriously, what do you think?

I'll keep my thoughts to myself.
