I’m starting to think Bernie was the reason for the Home Depot success.

Dude can’t make a decision.
Jerry may be a knucklehead but at least he’s not wishy washy.

He makes the same mistakes, OVER, and OVER, and OVER and OVER again. He never learns. He's been a bad owner for a decade now

It's time for him to sell the team. He's clueless

And there are credible rumors that Blank wants to hire Belichick. I mean, Jesus Christ. Bill is done. But that would be an Arthur move, flash over substance.

Sell the team, Arthur.

AJ Terrell. Haha!
But I’m for the Saints and Bucs.

Ian Rappaport

quote:

Sources say owner Arthur Blank has been calling people he trusts within the league for advice in recent days -- another sign he is weighing potential changes after leaving the door open on Smith's future in recent media interviews, telling Georgia Public Broadcasting in December that while he is "committed to Coach Smith," he wanted to assess where things stood after the season.

Smith, 41, was one of the hottest head-coaching candidates three years ago, when the Falcons signed him to a six-year contract with the thought of a methodical rebuild in mind. He and general manager Terry Fontenot spent the first two years cleaning up the salary cap and remaking the roster, and the hope was Year 3 would provide a breakthrough.

The Falcons defense indeed has been vastly improved, as has the talent level on the offensive line and skill positions. A win over the Saints on Sunday, plus a Buccaneers loss to the Panthers, would put Atlanta into the playoffs for the first time in six years.

But a loss would drop Atlanta to 1-4 over its final five games of the regular season and ensure a third straight seven-win season, heightening scrutiny on the progress of the football operation at a time when there could be big-name coaches -- including Patriots legend Bill Belichick, whose name has come up frequently in connection with Atlanta in conversations with league sources the past week -- potentially becoming available.

And you guys wonder why I continue to say that Blank isn't a good owner and hasn't been in a decade. Crap like the above. Hiring BB would be a Blank move if there ever was one. Style over substance. Same mistakes over and over.

He sucks as an owner.

LSU hunted him every time they needed a big play in that 2019 national title game. Only the Falcons would watch him get fricking smoked for 200+ yards and decide "yep, there's our first round pick".

He's been really good the last two seasons before this one, so much so that you actually did a mea culpa and said he was actually a good pick.

This year he wasn't good. Granted.

Holy hypocrisy.

Smith is gone. Fontenot is staying. Who the coach will be? Anyone's guess but Blank is picking him so probably won't be a good choice.

He has been better than I expected him to be (I frankly thought he would be washed out of the league within 4 years) but he is yet another Falcons first round draft pick who has not played up to his draft status.

We're gonna end up with some loser like Ron Rivera and lose 3 more straight years.

I don't trust Blank to make a good hire.
