As it stands, they would pick 9th. Based on hypothetical team needs, the 3rd of the top 3 QBs could fall to 9.
Blank declined talking to the media yesterday. Even though there is still a chance at making the playoffs, I think Smith might be gone.
I want them to get Todd Monken. After his fast turn around with Baltimore after year one he will be a hot commodity. His offense would really thrive with the offensive players on the Falcons.

I honestly thought the Falcons were eliminated from playoff contention. Just read earlier that if they win and TB loses, the Falcons are in.
I hate to be pulling for a Falcons loss on Sunday, especially against the Saints but damn this team needs a good draft.
Maybe we’ll just beat the Saints and TB wins.

Monken seems like too much of a hardass for Blank's liking. Blank will only hire a yes man. It's why Harbaugh or Belichick would never come here (Belichick would be a bad idea anyways). Both of them would have the balls to tell Blank to get off the sideline and stay out of football operations stuff.

I'm not a big Blank guy but I don't have an issue w/him on the sidelines. It's his team, he can do what he wants.
His issue is that he needs to hire a dedicated president of team ops who will run the coaching search instead of hiring a search firm every damn time.
He keeps making the same mistakes over and over again.
I wouldn't be shocked if Blank tries to hire Belichick. That is an Arthur move.
