He had a decent rookie year, I thought. He definitely had 1-2 drops late in games that cost us 1-2 Ws though. He looks like a solid to good #2 WR but probably not a #1.

He had a good rookie season and was a better player than I expected him to be, but the simple fact is that he does not have the speed that makes safeties think twice about cheating up close to the line of scrimmage. None of our skill players do, aside from Patterson when he lines up outside. This offense desperately needs a Will Fuller type of player. Jalin Hyatt in the second round would do wonders, IMO.

ETA: Fumbles were his big problem. He had some bad ones at very costly times. I'm not concerned about this long term.

What do the Falcons do in 1st and 2nd rounds? They have, what, the 7th pick? Not sure who's worthy at 7 if we're talking another WR or DE. Seems like a weak class this year, which probably just means it'll produce a shite ton of future HOF'ers.

LG. Pete Skoronski from Northwestern or CB like Devon Witherspoon from Illinois.

I don't like it, but I have a bad feeling they're going corner in the first round. Hopefully they can take a speed receiver in the second round.

Zay Flowers from Boston College or Trey Palmer from LSU/Nebraska.

Production matters less than mentorship with this signing, IMO. If he can be the veteran presence who shows Ebikete (and maybe Jalen Carter?) the ropes and how to be a pro like Dwight Freeney did for Vic Bustley in 2016, then it's a successful signing.

Makes sense.
Jalen Carter falling that far? That would be great. Maybe. A little concerned about him at this point.
I really want and would rather take Nolan Smith. I think he will be an all pro.

The potential run on QBs and CBs May let him drop that far. I’m still all for a LG at 8 though.

Or Paris Johnson. He can play G too. It drops off pretty significantly after them.

If Jalen Carter is on the board at #8 and the Falcons pass, I’ll just stop watching them for good. There is nothing wrong with Carter, except the fact that he watched one of his best friends die. Can imagine the guilt got the best of him and his training prior to the draft.

Regardless of the tragedy and his pro day, the guy will be a top 10 NFL player within 3-5 years. Only the Falaons would have a player like that in a position of dire need, and pass for ANOTHER CB or WR with no real QB or DL on the roster to protect those positions

The questions about Carter started popping up before the Ohio State game, which was before the wreck. I think it is fair for NFL teams to wonder what kind of effort they'll get from him every week. College offensive linemen should not have been able to block him. When he's fully engaged, like he was against Tennessee and LSU, he's a #1 overall type of game wrecker. He was sucking wind and was shockingly ineffective against Ohio State. They had a good team, but they should not have been able to take him out of the game so easily.

His talent suggests he should have been a far more consistently dominant player at Georgia than he was. (ETA: Especially in 2022. In 2021, the Georgia DL was so absurdly deep with NFL talent that you can't hold it against him for being part of a rotation.)

The more time that goes by the less I like him as a top 10 pick.
