They threw him out at the plate though, I thought the Bravos had something after Flaherty's hit with 2 on.

Yeah they could've held him at 3rd, but hindsight is 20/20.

Shane Carle I meant, he complained of his fingers going numb.

Whew! That was close, Braves win. A half game out of first now. Go Newcomb tomorrow and get that lead. Soroka got a W.

I'm happy for Soroka. How cool is that for the kid.

I hope Carle is okay. He's been one of our best.

They keep this up and Braves could be a buyer for at least a top line bullpen piece this summer. Maybe even a starter or a power bat depending on how things shake out.

What's the untouchable prospect list (i.e. they won't be traded no matter what) look like in everyone's opinion? Gohara, Wright, Pache, and Riley?

Yes please

ETA: Is Moustakas a one year rental? If yes, then never mind.

Gohara will be the one traded. Thats been alluded to by beat writers as well. He is fat, and has never cared about being in shape. The Braves want him to come back and look good for a few months or the rest of the year and then use him as the big piece for a legit starter.

As far as untouchable? Probably no one. AA will trade if the deal is right. Plus, this isnt the same front office as last year. They might hate half of the prospects.

If I had to guess about who is the closest to untouchable, Id go with Pache, and thats it.

Moustatkas has a option, but it could be a one year deal, and Herrera is a free agent as well. Thats why we could probably get away with giving up less for the two.

We’re not at the point where we need to give up legit prospects for guys that would be here < 1 season unless we really want to/know we will re-sign them.
