Penix looked really good yesterday, I think taking him was a good decision. Bijan is really good as well, but there were other players available we could’ve taken that would be overall more currently helpful to the team. This teams issue isn’t qb or skill positions it’s the offensive line and the defensive line. Somehow this has been the case for like 7 years straight

They could have built the oline and dline in free agency had they not went out and gave Cousins a monster contract. They also gave the other backup qb 8 million last year.

Go back and look at all the possible dline and oline guys they could have signed with the money they gave Cousins. No he is riding the bech and getting mad money.

Wait a second- I was told last week (about a million fricking times) that the Falcons had the #1 and #2 ranked offense and defense in the NFL. Was I lied to?

They're 7th in total offense and 28th in scoring offense. It's such a poorly coached team that they always screw up situationally, which leads to this discrepancy.

I don't think many would disagree with you, at least on this board it seems like most agree Blank is the true problem

If Atanta could get Trinidad Chambliss later in the draft that would be a great pick to bring in behind Penix. Was looking through a mock draft simulator and Atlanta could have a good shot at some nice players in rounds 5-7. There were 2 oline guys that they could take early OG from A&M and OC from Oregon. Took Damon Wilson with the 3rd pick. Then took Wrs Evan Stewart and Dane Key. Took Chambliss in 7th round.

They need to start from scratch. New GM, new coaching staff, new players. This will be a long term rebuild.
