What I am looking at in Spring Training:

How does Chris Sale look?
Who is going to be the infield depth?
Who is going to be the 6th SP if a call up is needed from AAA?
I want to see how Aaron Bummer looks. I have never seen him pitch that I can recall, but the AL might as well be a different sport to me (insert old man yells at clouds meme here). I am huge on WHIP which his doesn't look impressive, but his K/9 makes up for it.

I'm really interested to see him pitch, and he has an edge to him that this team sorely lacked over the last two seasons.

I think Riley has that edge to him, also. We saw that last year in the DS.

FWIW, the Phillies have the photo of Harper punking Arcia blown up on the wall of their clubhouse at Spring Training.

We need to hit his arse his first AB. If it leads to a brawl, even bettee

He's obviously a hell of a player, but he comes across as very mild mannered and soft spoken. Chris Sale would have buried a fastball in Harper's ribs (or earhole) after the Arcia staredown.

He is not unlike Freddie early on, he grew into a leadership role as he got older. Even Francouer and Chipper have said as much about Riley being the leader in waiting and that he has the temperament to be that guy

Does anyone think AA will make a move for another infielder or are we set?

I think the infield is set. Guillorme and Fletcher will play the backup infield roles. #5 starter, back of bullpen, and backup outfielder are the only spots really up for grabs I think.

That said, I'll bet AA always has one eye on the trade block for an upgrade at short. Arcia is fine, but he would be so much better as the main backup infielder. His bat started really getting exposed in the second half last season.

The infield is set IMO.

As long as Arcia continues to be a vaccum at short I don't care really about his offense, as long as he doesn't become a complete black hole.

At least we didn’t pay Dans 177m to bat .244

He fell off after the trade deadline.

He was a black hole in September and October.

Well he's not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

No one is saying Arcia is going anywhere. I think AA would upgrade at short if the opportunity presents itself and Arcia would be the utility guy.

AA has said that he values defense at short over offense. And he's right. You have to be strong up the middle (SS, C, CF). Having a strong bat is a bonus.

Thus, I don't see Arcia being replaced due to his glove being so good. Plus his contract is a bargain.

Arcia is good defensively, but he isn't exactly Andrelton Simmons or Omar Vizquel. He has a bazooka for an arm but his range is just alright. The team would be just fine running him out there, but if there's an opportunity to upgrade the bat without sacrificing anything defensively, I think he'd do it.

Strider starting tomorrow and Ozuna playing 1B.

So Spring Training related...

Does anyone miss when the Braves would play an exhibition game at the end of Spring Training against Georgia Tech or the AAA team?

I'd rather see that than an extra game in Florida.
