Ender got a first inning triple! Then Freddie sent one barely over the questionably close short stop. 1-0 Braves! In the bottom half, Ronald threw out a tagger upper at 3rd base! (had to review the runner coming off the base on it but same difference)

I’ve been trying to understand them playing so far in for Freddie.

Is their pitcher just that good at getting groundballs?

Guess not, hard to keep those overpriced jerks (trying not to be jealous but they're kinda like the old marlins) down. Come on Swanson and the rest of the offense we need some more.

Braves down by 2 now, maybe they have another comeback in them for the last 3 innings.

Culberson hit a 2 run homer in the 9th like he does usually but not enough, 8 to 6 loss.

I really don’t understand the Donaldson signing, why pay one guy 23 million if you have no interest in winning? On that note, why not trade Freddie while he is 29 and couldn’t be more valuable? You should be able to to get multiple good prospects for Freddie. That would give the Braves a payroll of roughly 70 million, second lowest in the league, and increase profits for the front office to pocket for things outside of the team. We have to keep the bottom line in focus here.

I was laughing because chuck told AA he wanted to sign Michael Brantley, who is the exact same person as Markakis. Brantley got a 3 year deal.

Indians sign Ryan Flaherty. AA and front office sitting around doing nothing.

Wish the Braves could sign Kimbel or another reliever like him. Man do they need bullpen help if they want to win. Not sure Minter coming back next week will be enough in the improved East.

Pumped to see Wright tonight. Look great this spring. I really believe he could be our best pitcher by seasons end, even with a healthy Folty. Has perennial all star potential.

First thing announcers bring up is the lack of Braves spending compared to the Phillies big offseason.

Because it makes absolutely no sense when you have the revenue and a great young offense, and wide gaping holes in your pitching. It’s one thing when you’re a legit small market, but Atlanta isn’t, and could have gone out and at least attempted to take the next step. I would have rather had Craig Kimbrell and another decent reliever than Josh Donaldson.

Donaldson has the only ATL run so far on that ball that got away from the catcher. Phillies held to only one so far, hope the Braves aren't through.
