The Braves sent Touki to AAA today and brought back Wilson.

Yeah, after last night I think Touki might stay in AAA for awhile

Braves up 2-0 in the first! Donaldson with a solo homer, and Markakis got an RBI double with Freeman on base.

Where you at? Now the Braves are up 5-0 thanks to Donaldson, 2 homers and 4 rbi's on the night so far. And it's only the 2nd inning?

8-0 now thanks to Ender and Ozzie. 3rd inning. Fried is awesome so far, bullpen don't let us down later.

Only outdone by Donaldson.

Hell yeah, 9-0 thanks to Freddie's rbi in the 4th.

10-0 Braves 6th inning, McCann rbi. The announcers from Espn were getting so bored with the beatdown they started talking to Ozzie in the dugout. Hope the bullpen comes out like last night, not yesterday afternoon.

11-2, 7th inning. Freddie had an RBI in the Braves half, the other team homered on Fried in the other half inning and he got taken out.

The Braves won 11-5 and took the series, winning pitcher: Max Fried! Braves are above .500 again (barely) and in a tie for 2nd in the division.

This offense continues to be good enough to win a world series. Right now in NL they are #1 in BA, #1 in OBP, and #2 in OPS. The beauty continues to be the depth of the lineup. Basically everyone except Inciarte looks dangerous in this lineup so even when a couple of guys are slumping there seem to be several guys in the lineup raking pretty consistently.
The pitching right now, however, is just too inconsistent to think they can win the division or win a playoff series against the top 4-5 teams in baseball.
I am still holding out hope that Folty comes back healthy and slots right back in at the top of this rotation. IF (a big word I know) Fried and Soroka can stick, then the rotation could look respectable:
1. Folty (2018 level)
2. Fried (2019 so far level)
3. Gausman
4. Soroka
5. One of Teheran, Newcombe, Wright, Touki, Wilson, etc just finds some semblance of consistent quality
If the Braves are competitive in the division at the trade deadline I think they should be buyers in the bullpen for sure. I still believe you can get bullpen help near the trade deadline for not too high a price.
Also should be possible buyers for #2 type SP (not saying sell the whole farm system for an ace, but be willing to let go of a couple of young prospects for the right guy who fits in right now in the top three of your rotation).

Soroka is scheduled to pitch again Wednesday. Glad to see his shoulder feels fine after his first start. Hopefully he's feeling strong and will become a regular. Fried has been great.
Still gotta tackle that bullpen.
