I’m interested in the idea of carrying 7 starters.
Teheran, Gausman, and Folty normal starters
Some combination of Wright, Newcombe, Soroka, Fried, and Touki splitting games 4/4 or so depending on how outings go.
Think that strategy could help with the bullpen and limit the number of innings for the young pitchers this season. Also, could limit the number of times they go through the lineup 3 times
Could also split up L / Rs to avoid teams stacking line ups

Braves still getting shut out so far. Soroka hasn't allowed a run since the first. He's up around the limit they gave him though in pitches. In the fifth, Soroka let them load the bases and then stranded them all.

Pitching against the Indians in the cold for the Braves:
Touki tomorrow vs Kluber, Julio Saturday vs Bauer, and Fried Sunday vs Bieber.

Can't watch. How did he look overall?

Sobotka gave up a 2 run homer in relief after an inning where Winkler didn't allow a run. 3-0 snakes.

Freddie hit a solor homer in the 8th! Finally Braves on the board but still down 4-1.

Time to get Pache on the fast track to the bigs and get rid of Ender. He's hitting .333 now in AA. I hope they get him to Gwinnett in the next month or so.
Meanwhile, Austin Riley hitting .154 with 54 total at bats. Yikes.

The Braves got rained out tonight, double header starts tomorrow at 4:10 pm.... Eastern time. Julio vs Kluber.
7:40 pm 2nd game has Touki vs Bauer, and hope they don't get rained out. Fried vs Bieber on Espn Sunday night at 7:05 is how they listed the whole series.

Braves lead 1-0 in the first, pitcher walked Freddie and Ronald then gave up a hit to Markakis.
Julio let them even it up in the bottom half with an RBI by Santana. 1-1.

Acuna got drilled, looks like it hit him in the elbow of luckily

They brought in this guy who must be a former Marlin to pitch to Ronald in the 3rd, but he blocked it with his arm:

Nick with a sac fly in the 3rd. 2-1 Braves. He's looking like a hell of a DH today, I just wish they had Camargo or maybe Culberson in his RF spot.

Julio tries to scare us with multi RISP but so far he's only given up 1 run. Too early to call with his interleague track record.

Solo homer given up in the 4th by Julio. 2-2, need some more offense, Braves.

Julio's going past 100 pitches in the 5th. Last inning for him? He's the only thing standing in the way of the scary bullpen trying to pitch in the cold. Hope we don't see a replay of Chicago 2018.

Julio gave up a couple RBI after a stolen 2nd base by their big guy Santana. 4-2. ATL must have the slowest (or close to it) throwing catchers in the league, not sure why we don't see more SB's.

Probably gonna get ugly here with the highly intelligent AA constructed bullpen.
