I swear our starters get the jitters in the 7th because they know Snit is watching the pitch count

same thing happens in the movie Mr. Baseball.

Acuña with the walk off because frick you Marlins

Acuña answered in English and she still put the mic in front of Franco’s face to translate the English.

Yeah she kind of ruined Acuna’s moment there. You could tell he was proud to give that answer in English and it was pretty clear and well said. When she put the mic in front of the translator both the translator and Acuna were like WTF? Oh well good that he is learning.

I've never seen the Smoltz/Olson recreation!

for reference, Smoltzie was posted last year on August 27th, so we are a little ahead of schedule.

Wonder how frustrated Nationals fans are right now? They go 8-2 over their last 10 games and gain ZERO ground on the Braves during which time the Braves are starting guys all over the field that were either pulled off the released player scrap heap or just called up from the minors.
Still - a 6 game gap is within striking distance particularly with 7 head-to-head games left with the Nats. Let's hope the Cubs stay hot and win the series against the Nats this weekend at Wrigley.
Phillies will be looking to make a move with their next 6 against the Marlins and Pirates.
I think the Braves could drive the final nail in the Mets' coffin by taking 2/3 this weekend.

Random, but I was at the game last night and I saw about 4 whole Marlins fans. I was really impressed with their giant turnout. Passionate fanbase.

I honestly wish they would send the marlins to montreal and give that city a baseball team back, miami could care less about baseabll

I’ve seen where Montreal actually wants a team again.

The Blue Jays play a few late Spring Training games in Montreal each year and the few times I've watched the crowds have been very large considering they are meaningless games.
We had a Canadian team with us on my 3rd deployment and their medic was from Montreal. Him and I regularly talked about baseball and I understand he was a sample size of one, but he was very enthusiastic about baseball and misses having the Expos.

It’s dumb how they did baseball in Florida. They need one team in Orlando. Rays and Marlins are literally the bottom 2 teams in attendance in all of baseball.

I’d love to see the Montreal Expos again. I guess the Nationals and MLB would have to approve another organization using it, but I want to see them return.
That said, I do like playing the Marlins just because it seems Acuña loves to curb stomp every pitcher they run out there.

I don't think the Fish are going anywhere since they just had that stadium built, but I've felt like the Rays would be a logical team to move to Montreal if a team does move there. They'd have a natural rivalry with their Canadian neighbors in the Blue Jays, and they would fit in very well with BOS/NY as well.
The Rays are a very well-run organization, but that stadium situation is a disaster and it doesn't seem like it's getting resolved any time soon. Would love to see them with some real fan support and a more competitive payroll to contend with those AL East juggernauts.

High Foltage looking pretty good so far.

I want the offense to silence this Shiti Field crowd. I keep getting a heart attack when I look down and I hear the crowd start cheering hard for another Mets routine fly ball.
