Frank Wilson may be a hell of a recruiter, but the year he got recruiter of the year was at Alabama. Not a hard gig. Not like it will be at Arkansas.

Someone linked a Twitter thread on the main board and in the comments someone claimed Otis Kirk may have just let it slip Kiffin is the guy. Said that hopefully one of the recruits we are after looks at Kiffin's offenses and sees how successful he is with tight ends.

If it’s LK, I would imagine they have a deal in place. We at least are probably trying to give the image of going about it the political way and having him coach the conference championship. Let it leak from other places, go ahead and confirm, and the public statement will be that Lane wanted to give it one more weekend with his guys that he feels like he owes them. Gets him good pub and lets recruits know what’s up. Also may let us have at least a partial staff in place and ready to roll recruiting wise next week.

Am I crazy or would it not be OK to go ahead and announce Kiff as the new head coach and then let him coach in the C-USA title game (which he will probably lose now because the Team will be distracted) but still, doesnt that satisfy everyone.
It's just like guys like Kirby staying on with Bama when they won the title and still recruiting for Georgia.

yes i think that would be fine with everyone involved. Let him recruit during the week, coach the game then presser on Sunday afternoon.

I kind of want to see him and Bill Clark go at it head-to-head, anyway. Both teams seem evenly matched, and we have a vested interest in both at the moment.
