At that point it was 69-60. Incredible comeback and a roller coaster ride of emotions.

and should have never been that way. We can't keep blowing big leads. The level of competition is about to get much higher.

It seems that this team gets too comfortable when they get a huge lead early in the game. On the other hand they seem to be calm and collected at the end of games now.

I think most teams have these duldrums during games. "Basketball is a game of runs," as they say. I'm just excited that we've learned how to win/overcome on the road. That's the sign of a pretty mature team. I can't complain about our road performance at all.

Every time I think these guys are going to pull their hijinks from previous seasons they surprise me. This year's team has been more fun to watch than any since Nolan left.

Qualls epitomizes this more than any player, he has mini slumps but when it's crunch time he focuses like a laser and gets the job done.

Cant be sure, maybe some of yall noticed, but it looked like the cocks went zone late in the first and then our O went complete derp. We had little movement and rarely fed into williams\harris. I dont know of cackalacky switched defenses during our late run, but everything seemed to change. Ball movement, off ball movement, passes into the post opened up, all for about 3 min there at the end.

Dont know if it was effort, coaching, or something SC was doing different, but for a short period there we really had an effective offense against the zone.

IIRC, Cocks were running that tight zone until Bell hit a couple threes late, that forced them to spread out a little bit and that made room for Portis and Qualls to get closer to the basket.

Was glad to see Qualls get that monster putback. Seems like last year most of his dunks were cleaning up misses. This year he seems to spend more time on the perimeter looking for a 3 or a drive to the basket. He is a monster rebounder when he puts his mind to it I hope to see more of that down the stretch.

The difference from last year and this year....we don't get rattled or down about it. We just keep plugging and most of the time, we find a way to win.

I love this team.
