Delayed rush sucked because you come to campus amped up to pledge, but in hindsight it was a pretty good rule and it cut way down on in-house hazing incidents.

Yeah. It's definitely a good idea. The hazing stuff was/is lame, especially when it was just a bunch of drunk losers coming home from the bars wanting to screw with people. There's a certain amount of bonding that can happen through planned stress/adversity situations with a pledge class, but the random stuff with some drunk was always the stuff that got out of control and turned truly mean spirited.
