Hopefully an average to an above average Defense. If we don’t have one, bowl game isn’t happening and I will be completely disappointed in this staff.

yes, seriously. CBB and Smile left CBB a chitshow. CBB Left Morris a decent group to play with overall.
Skill positions are decent to good, D line was more talented than showed because of coaching.
TE's are great
and our schedule is the easiest it has ever been. So, yeah... I expect a 6 win season with our talent, coaching, and schedule. 5 wins... fine, 4 and I am gonna lose it period!

How many did John L win and how were the last few recruiting classes petrino/and john L had?
Posted on 8/31/18 at 7:29 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
Yes, in my opinion Petrino with his last effort at recruiting, JLS with his pathetic attempt at recruiting and football, and the attrition level of what would have been the leaders in the class that CBB inherited.... Yep, Morris has a better team from top to bottom than Petrino/with attrition/JLS left Bert.
Now, with that added, do I still need to stfu and never speak of football again?
dude, rather than editing with added things, why didn't you remove the arrogant harsh attack to begin with?
I admit I know mush less than Chesh, Razor, Feral, and others... but I follow recruiting very close and know several folks currently in the program as in players, families, etc. We aren't as bad as we were. The Oline sucks because of several things. But skill players, defensive players, and Special teams will be improved.
that coupled with the easiest schedule in decades, or one of them... we should have 6 wins.
Vandy, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Miss State, can we not win 2 of those and our OOC games? With a offensive genius as HC, with CHief? why? Why not?
Ole miss has Matt Luke and has been on probation with sanctions, Vandy? Mizzou? surely. Just. 2 in the SEC surely at least.
ok, done

Does what I replied with make at least a little sense?
If you take the time to go back to the classes Petrino recruited, there was one specific class where the vast majority wasn't around for their JR/SR seasons. Kicked out with drugs, beating a girl, grades, etal… We were fixing to have a slide in wins even with Petrino the following season, or so I choose to think. But after Smiley's recruiting as well, terrible.
I wish others would step in and give some info here. It beats discussing uniforms, and bad design of the new baseball center.

I get it and I'm not disagreeing my only point is bielema didnt leave morris in a whole lot better shape at least on offense and if we gave him some time we should give Morris some as well. 5 wins would be my floor though with those schedule anything less than that and I would be sharpening my pitchfork as well

I stand by my statement. Do I want to fire Morris if we don’t bowl? No. But I can still be disappointed. This is the weakest schedule we have had in years and to Revs point, there is plenty of talent on Defense.

CBB didn’t leave the coffers just stacked or anything, it’s hardly one of our better rosters in the last 10-15 years I’d say. He DID leave adequate-but-not-top-tier QBs, WRs, LBs, and DBs. Better than average TEs and RBs, although we haven’t had to worry about RBs in what seems to be decades.
He REALLY put us behind the 8-ball on the lines though, which is a shame considering that was his bread and butter. The good news is that it isn’t some patchwork operation where we’re flip-flopping and plugging guys in with a week of practice like we’ve had the past couple seasons; the bad news is that we’re lacking major experience on both sides. We have good recruits there, they just didn’t get a chance with BertBall for some reason.
Connor fckin’ Limpert though. Dude deserves his own paragraph in this assessment. Why did it take so long to unleash this master of the uprights? It’s nice Morris (and us fans by default) doesn’t have to worry about the position, which still feels a little odd. I still get a little antsy pre-kick, but Limpert is curing it with each FG made as if he’s also kicking little football-shaped anxiety pills down my throat at the same time.
I’m looking forward to some fundamentally sound, hard fought football and technical improvements each game throughout this season. I don’t expect us to be world beaters and that’s fine considering the circumstances. I also don’t expect glaring oversights and mistakes, blowouts, or utter embarrassment at any time. I think we’ll be fairly middling this season but have a nice foundation to grow on in the coming years.

Bielema won 4 fricking games last year we have no offensive line. Which is the most important position group in football. Do me a favor rev, and be quiet and please never try to actually understand this game. You clearly have no grasp of it and dont even know wtf you are looking at when you watch a game
Can’t argue with these facts
