Silverfield isn’t a good hire IMO but Eric Morris would’ve been a travesty of a hire.

Let us be honest. The real death blow is that we weren't willing to pony up the cash this go around. We could have outmatched or at least competitively bid on either Chesney or Golesh but we didn't. There are coaches out there we could have poached if we had thrown big bucks at them. We didn't.

And they still fricked it up. Hunter could have done the absolute laziest and cheapest thing possible and most fans would have been ok with it as long as we went and got a decent DC.

It's truly impressive how incompetent our entire admin structure is. Multiple people whose entire job is based around having good judgement thought this was a good idea.

Better a bad coach you can get rid of quickly than a mediocre coach you are stuck with for years. We hired a coach the other school couldn't wait to get rid of.

Hire bad and get rid of them. Or hire good and keep them. Don't hire average and be stuck with them.
