We made them wash our dicks on primetime tv 2 years in a row. What is beating off and making them clean it up this year going to Do?
We got briston guidry. We were #2 with Fulton. That is it.

I would just like to say that if we have like a 5 year stint where we bukkake on thier team and win 8+. Then and only then would our recruiting there uptick.

Yeah, but they just got caught with a midget tranny named Troy. You have second thoughts before you play for someone doing that

But you have none playing for a guy that weighs 600lbs, lost to Toledo at home and lost to an even worse Missouri team up 21 points?

How bad did losing to ulm hurt us? Or when Saban lost to umm? You guys are really blowing this loss out of proportion

are you joking? a lot
I would argue the team quit after that, and i would argue you see the same from LSU this season. That usually doesn't bode well for recruiting.
You realize you guys are the ones arguing that Troy beating LSU doesn't give us an extra advantage in LA, right? re-read that and then keep making up negative shite that makes no sense

I agree with the Admiral, with a few caveats.... If we continue to get some wins, beat LSU at death valley, then we will see an uptick in recruiting within the region.
If LSU continues to spiral out of control.
If LSU continues to spiral out of control.

I don't think anyone is arguing that it won't help at all, but you're grossly exaggerating the extent to which it will help. Louisiana high school players that have grown up wanting to be Tigers during an era of extended LSU football success are not going to all of a sudden say "oh shite LSU lost to Troy, it's not my dream to play there anymore."
ETA: One bad loss won't do that, but I do agree with the sentiment that if they spiral out of control and are bad for an extended period that it will help other schools get their foot in the door with recruits they otherwise may not have had a chance with.

Uptick?
Who have we signed that has made any impact whatsoever from the region?
Posted on 10/2/17 at 1:40 pm to STLhog
Henre Toliver
Santos Ramirez
Ramirez has been our defense's best player this season.
ETA: Scoota Harris is also a starter, and he got a Bama offer after he was already committed to us

Scoota wanted an LSU offer and didn't get one, if he did he said it was too late and didn't care anymore. Yes he had a bama offer, and it was a legit offer.
The deal is most of the guys we have are not 4 star, and highly coveted by LSU. Guidry I believe is the only one with those credentials.
Let this same thing happen over 5 years and we will be poaching guys with smith.

The thing I've always wondered is how large exactly is the difference between an 87 rated 3* and a 90 rated 4*. The state of Louisiana is so ripe with talent, and talent evaluation from recruiting services is more of an art than a science anyway, why do we HAVE to be able to steal a large number of LSU's top choice prospects? I really think if we can finally lock up instate talent plus get all the high 3 and low 4*s we want from Texas and Louisiana, then we can field a seriously competitive team that'll win 8 or 9 a year with the right coaching. We don't have to successfully steal White and Fulton every year. Just because a guy isn't LSU's first choice doesn't mean they couldn't be impactful if given the chance.
Apart from subpar coaching and possible fitness complications, do we not seem scatterbrained? Besides things like Froholdt playing out of position, we have no real offensive identity.
Arkansas winning 9-11 games has felt so possible the past three years it's painful. Auburn, MSU, and A&M are teams that we have historically been able to match up with, and finish with pretty comparable records to ours under Bielema's regime - a stat bolstered by the fact that one of the wins comes from us every year. Missouri is a shite show. Ole Miss, even without their turmoil, is a program we keep up with and always have. Finishing with four or five conference wins and winning our OoC games seems so unbearably reasonable with our recruiting constraints.

These guys had committable LSU offers?
Don't think so.

I think recruiting sometimes underestimates football IQ. This is why Bill Belichick is so great. He finds guys that love and know how to play the game.

That's not what you said. You said:

The answer to that question is several players, a few of which I named.
