Dale that is a bit of a loaded question. You know most of the schools who rely on Texas that are not in Texas are still in the big XII.

Oregon however during Chip Kelly's time their heavily recruited the area.

It isn't.

2005 is a long time ago, I get that, others do not.

Yes, relying on Texas was important while in the SWC as if we didn't get them our competition would, but relying on Texas today is what leads to 0fer SEC seasons and embarrassing losses to G5 opponents.

Texas is the most abundant resource with the closest proximity. We are in NO position to try and recruit nationally at this point. Hit you majors areas hard. Work your way out when success increases.
Areas to hit in order should be:
1. East Texas
2. Memphis
3. Oklahoma Metro
4. St. Louis/KC
5. Louisiana
6. Arkansas

I only have Arkansas at 6 because it should be a given that a good coach keeps the best in state talent.

East Texas you run into all the SEC schools with aggy being the closest, this doesn't even account for the big 12 schools, houston, etc.

But your list is exactly what the others who played in the SWC still thinks and why you end up with a Chad Morris and disbelief it isn't working.

Flip your list replace St Louis with Georgia/Florida and you have the proven winning strategy for Arkansas.

As per usual I doubt any of our list come close to the final decision. Based on the Musselman hire though I trust HY to do his homework.

I said it before I'll say it again... these guys aren't ready, but they'll pay a guy millions and lose millions in a heartbeat! I'll take the minimum and prove myself, so will a hundred other guys I know, but they will just recycle and recycle!

You can probably scratch those two off the list for any significant contributions now.
